Heres a Q for you....do you have those badly acted ads for home "legal will kits", there in the USA? If not, tell me, cause it will help you understand the ep if you know what thats about!

OMG, how many references abt that couch were made?

And that s/l abt the bulletin board. Poor Lacey. I loved it when she walked over to the bulletin board, seen the little note abt the bulletin board that can be found at Corner Gas. And Wanda ran over there.

My favew part is Oscar and Emma reciting the "Legal Will Kit" ad, first all stiff like the original commercial, then as themselves , Emma bored and Oscar grumpy!

Naturally, Hank was the one who twisted Brent's words around, and now his parents think hes eager to see them pass on...stupid Hank!!

Explaining the end of the show

Hey Irene....that part at the end was based on a series of TV ads for a Canadian bank that promoted its ability to help you retire at 55 ( Freedom 55 ) and the ad shows a guy meeting himself at his pool 20 years later, after an early retirement, again, (part of )the dialogue was lifted directly from that ad, as with the home will kits!

Oscar grumpy???? Surely you jest. Those two were so damn funny. Hey, they are always funny. They work so well off of each other.
Hank OMG, he ruined it. He definitely was stupid. More stupid than ever probably. If that is even possible.

Yup, i guess it helps when 2 actors truly like each other; they've been working together on various projects for 25 years

Hank is a bit of an idiot savant...totally clueless and yet, amazingly talented at things you wouldnt expect him to be! (I wont explain further, it would be a huge spoiler )

I figured you would "get" the ending better if i explained that, like the Littlest Hobo, and references to The Beachcombers; this is an "inside joke" for Canadians , but wouldnt have meant a lot to you.

Well, knowing Hank, he'd probably have settled for 3 packs of Pop-rocks and a jar of pickles!*

*Hank's favorite foods
