Now that Drew Has gone from sitcom to game show (hosting "the price is right" as of tonight) - how would you define his career?

Well, he hasn't done much since his show went off the air in 2004, so this is definitely a huge step up for him. I'd say as of now, his career is back in high gear. What's better than hosting the Price is Right?

I'd say it was on the upswing, now if they would bring back the $100,000 dollar pyramid game I'd be content.

Well, it would seem that Drew is doing things in reverse - usually someone would start out on a game show then graduate to sitcoms.
But Drew has mentioned in a few interviews that his sitcom made him rich enough that he can do whatever he wants to do, so he decided to host game shows. Hopefully his TPIR gig will last a long time.

He's the host of two game shows. I'd say his career is definitely up!

Drew's at a point in his life where he just does what he wants - so it's really not about his "career" at this point. He made enough money from all those years of Drew Carey Show and Whose Line that if he wants to take a couple of years off and become a soccer photographer (and a darn good one to boot), he can. If he wants to become host of The Price is Right, he can. It's all about what Drew wants to do at this point, not career direction. And if you watch The Price is Right, you can tell - Drue really wants to be there, and really enjoys being there. It's one of those things Bob kinda lacked the last few years, and it really makes Drew shine as a result

That's a good way to put it. He was making tons of money from the Drew Carey Show for 9 good years. I think he was even making around $750,000 an episode by season 9. It is good to see him back on regular television, but it was his choice to do for fun, not for money. |

Not to mention he is also hosting his other game show, Power of 10. This guy is damn good at what he does and others obviously notice. He doesn't need to work, but he wants to. It seems he has come to a point in his life where he is doing things because it seems right. He said he would probably never marry. Well, he is now engaged. He is probably seeing things come his way and he better take the opportunity to do them and enjoy it. His fiancee probably brought some peace and happiness in his life and felt that staying home is not the way to be. It's one thing to have to work, it's another to just want to simply to have a great life.
Drew also visited our troops and did a tour in Iraq. I seen the documentary and he was so sincere when visiting with our troops. He just seems so down-to-earth and simply wants to make people laugh.
