Default Which opening credits do you like best?

Season one has the sidewalk with the credits written in the cement.

Season two has June and Ward sending the boys off to school in the morning.

Season three has June and Ward waking the boys up from bed in the morning.

Season four is similar to the opening from season two, but this time it's filmed from the outside of the house.

Season five has Ward and the boys doing yard chores, and June offering refreshments.

Season six has the family leaving the house to attend what appears to be a picnic, as they get in the car and drive off.

Which one do you like best? I think the season five opening is the most visually appealing, but I'll give my vote to season six because I like how they changed the music to the theme song. It sounds a little more hip and groovy than the music they used for the first five seasons.

The first season, where the credits were drawn in wet cement. It was very imaginative for a sitcom at that time.

I'll vote for season six. I like that they changed the openings every year.

BTW, Season Five also had the magical door that seemed to open by itself while June had both arms full w/ a tray loaded w/ a pitcher and glasses. I guess you could say that she swung the door w/ her hips, but more likely there was a stagehand opening the door and closing it behind her.

Another blooper of sorts I've just noticed in the season six opening credits: June walks out of the house w/ the picnic basket in her left hand and her hat in her right hand as the opening begins, but as the camera comes in for a tighter shot, her hat jumps to her left hand along w/ the picnic basket, but shortly after she moves it to her right hand again. Maybe the hat had Mexican Jumping Beans in it?

Gotta agree with Lee--I love the season 5--June with lemonade (and i love her flip hairdo) but season 6's music was GROOVY!

I think I like Season One best, with the sidewalk. The "ending" that I love is the one with Wally and Beaver walking home from school. Wally puts his hand on his little brother's back and ushers him inside the house. I always thought that was so cute!
