I wanted to let my fellow Classic TV fans know about a book that I wrote coming out next month. It's called "Close-ups: Conversations with Our TV Favorites" and contains new and exclusive interviews and conversations with some of the most beloved stars of classic TV.
It's written from a fan's point of view and asks the questions we've always wanted to ask if we had the chance. "What was life like on the set? What are your favorite episodes? Who did you keep in touch with?" If it sounds like your cup of tea, please read on. The following is a list of people in the book: Bewitched/Designing Women: Alice Ghostley The Big Valley: Peter Breck Father Knows Best / The Andy Griffith Show: Elinor Donahue Hazel: Lynn Borden Hazel: Ray Fulmer I Love Lucy: Keith Thibodeaux The Jeffersons / 227: Marla Gibbs Lassie: Jon Provost Leave it to Beaver: Barbara Billingsley Leave it to Beaver: Tony Dow The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis: Dwayne Hickman Mission: Impossible: Peter Lupus The Mothers-In-Law: Kaye Ballard My Three Sons: Stanley Livingston The Waltons: Jon Walmsley What's Happening!! / What's Happening Now!!: Ernest Thomas What's Happening!! / What's Happening Now!!: Haywood Nelson If this is something that you might be interested in, the info for the book is available at: http://bearmanormedia.bizland.com/id246.html Thanks for your time.

Sounds great - thanks for sharing!! Bear Manor has come out with some excellent biographies (Agnes Moorehead, Peggy Ann Garner, Albert Salmi, etc.) and this title sounds terrific as well. I'll look out for it.

I have a couple of questions:
1. Since when is "What's Happening?" considered a classic? That show sucked! 2. Will the book be available in Canada? Thank you and good day. |
