Smile So sweet!

Anyone else love the episode where Lucy tells Ricky she's pregnant?
I love the end where you can see Lucy was crying because her mascara was running.

Thumbs up

Every time I see that scene - I bawl. Those tears were real - the pair was also expecting in real life. One of the most beautiful scenes in TV history!

To this day, after seeing that episode a zillion times, it still moves me. So sweet indeed. I love it. How many women would love to have told their husbands in that very way and have him react that way. Awwwwww.

I think Lucy lucked out with not being able to tell Ricky the way she had originally planned. It was much better telling him at the night club than sitting on his lap and telling him.

It was probably the most charming episode of the series...

(it's so much fun closely re-visiting ILL-it's so interesting seeing how many of her ideas and skits have found their way into sitcoms even today. She really laid the groundwork...a real pioneer of TV....GOD BLESS HER for all the joy and knowledge she's left as her legacy!!! )

its not surprising that she was crying, as their marriage was falling apart at the time and they were both hoping that having another child (And doing ILL) might save it.
it was, i'll agree with Rich probably the most touching, best scene in the series.
