Default Geico to Suspend 'Cavemen' Ads Once Sitcom Airs

Don't expect to see Geico ads featuring the cavemen once the show hits the air. No new commercials are being made, and the current ads are likely to be suspended at least while the show runs. Geico owned the cavemen characters, but struck a deal with ABC so the network could do the show. (ABC president Steve McPherson earlier said that there is no deal regarding commercials that run during the show, so it's possible you'll see commercials for other insurance agencies running during "Cavemen.") Geico executives are enthused about the show and rooting for it to succeed, producers said.

The show will probably be better for them. ~20 minutes where they can do whatever they want with cavemen, which will remind everyone of Geico; compared to 15 seconds. Loved the commercials though.

The latest two-part ad has a party scene at the caveman's crib. I took these pics from the Website.

I haven't seen that many ads lately, and no new ones. I miss them actually.

I wondering how that was going to work out if Geico was going to let them air the commercial during the program Caveman

I saw a ton yesterday during George Lopez, but yeah they weren't new ones. And ads for Cavemen on ABC, too.

I actually don't watch much network tv in the summer. I used to see the ads a lot during Sox games, but none at all anymore.

the only ones i see now are the one with him at the airport with that song "EVERYWHEREE I GOOO THERES ALWAYS SOMETHINGG TOOOO REMIND MEEE" and the party one. i used to see the therapist one all the time but i dont anymore. i see the green Gecko ones a lot now, which are also funny. Geico just has awesome ads in general, all the way back to the "I JUST SAVED A BUNCH OF MONEY ON MY CAR INSURANCE BY SWITcHING TO GEICO!" to the Caveman ones!

Mikado...watch the show before you bash it. So, send The Flintstones back to the stone-age, too, right?

Im not bashing the show, this was just my way of saying that I have no intention of ever watching this. I never thought much of the concept of the ads, i cant imagine this going more than 13 episodes, if im proven wrong, more power to them!
