- Myths & Legends Marathon
Sunday, October 28, 2007
8pm to 10pm ET/PT
Join TV Land as we celebrate Halloween with a mini-marathon of its hit original series TV land’s Myths & Legends.

8p #001- The Ghost & Mrs. Muir
What former lover was the inspiration for Carly Simon's #1 hit, You're So Vain? Is that really the ghost of a nine-year-old boy seen through a window in the film Three Men and a Baby? Did the cast of Green Acres barbecue and eat the pig that played Arnold Ziffel?
8:30p #002 – Munchkins & Misbehavior
Was Barry Williams really high on the set of a 1973 episode of The Brady Bunch? Did famed TV chef Julia Child once drop a chicken, retrieve it, and advise her audience, “Remember, you’re alone in the kitchen?” Can the body of a suicidal munchkin be seen hanging from a tree in The Wizard of Oz?
9p #005 – Superstars & Sudden Deaths
Did Mama Cass of The Mamas and The Papas die when she choked on a ham sandwich? Did a punch in the stomach kill magician Harry Houdini? Did Superman George Reeves really leap from a tall building to his death?
9:30p #006 – Graves, Gilligans & Groucho
Is there really a Poltergeist curse? What sexual innuendo did Groucho Marx get away with on You Bet Your Life? Were Hollywood legend Charlie Chaplin’s remains dug up and held for ransom?

TV Land is playing it safe with Designing Women and Knight Rider it seems. They can easily go back to The Jeffersons in DW's prime slot and Three's Company in DW's late slot. And Knight Rider can EASILY be repladed by Bonanza at 10am, leading into Gunsmoke at 11am.

So, don't be surprised if that happens.

9PM isn't a problem for me anyway. Who's the Boss? on ION is where I am at, and it looks as if it will be staying for the long run due to the high ratings. I wish they would have put a sitcom at 5pm though.

I'm usually watching WTB too, so that slot really doesn't matter. If anything, by the beginning of November, DW wil lbe replaced by The Jeffersons at 9pm, but it'll probably keep it's 1:45 slot.

I'm glad to see I Love Lucy is really doing well. Getting a weeklong marathon, in PRIMETIME, is great.

The 9pm Slot for DW maybe a problem because it will have to compete with WTB on ION which is doing well. So 9pm won't work for me

Can't wait for DW. I'm planning to tape my faves in case Sony takes their time w/ season sets. *Rolls eyes*

And what has TVLand's Myths and Legends have to do with Halloween? There are lots of TV shows from the 1950's and 1960's,with Halloween-themed episodes that TVLand COULD air instead:Examples:The Addams Family had two,Bewitched,The Dick Van Dyke Show, etc.,all had Halloween-themed episodes. But the decision was theirs,NOT ours.

I'd much rather watch Myth's and Legends than Munsters or Addams Family.
