One thing I find interesting with Hogan's Heroes is the usage of Howard Caine in 3 different roles during the series run. We mostly know him as Major Hochstetter, but he had 2 other roles before settling in on "The Hochstetter". I wonder why this is. I can think of no other series that has ever done that.

Jack Dodson appeared on The Andy Griffith Show as an insurance adjuster named Ed Jenkins then later joined the cast as Howard Sprague.
