I live in a small town; and nothing famous has happened here in the 7 years I've been here. Although once about 3 or 4 years ago, the cops were her, because the guy in the apt. next to us kidnapped someone. And they showed a shot of the front of our building on the news. They also wanted to interview my brother about it; but he told them he didn't know anything about it!

from CHEERS-

Norm: "I can't, Coach."
Coach: "I'm sorry"
Norm: "I look at Vera and I just...can't."

I live in Rome, NY which is a pretty small, relatively unknown city. However, Francis Bellamy who wrote the pledge lived here and is buried here, the author of Roots lived here, Alex Haley and a few others I don't really know of or what they do I just know they exist lol...Also, we held Woodstock 99 here which gave us a bad rep. because of the fire and prices and all that bull...but we DO suck so I shouldn't talk

Jimi Hendrix was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. in the 1960's. The base borders Clarksville on the northwest side of town.

Brian - you'll be so disappointed in me - I forgot to add Patricia Heaton to famous Clevelanders!!

There was an early ELR episode where Ray is up for some sportswriter award. Debra scoffs at the list of nominees and says, "Chuck Heaton? You're way better than him!" Chuck Heaton was a Cleveland sportswriter and the real-life father of PH. Her brother writes for the Plain Dealer as well.

I remember she began getting attention in this area back in the early 1990s when she did the short-lived sitcom Room For Two. She played Linda Lavin's daughter in that one. She still has a lot of family in the Cleveland area.

I used to live in Philadelphia, pa. where some movies and TV shows were filmed (some only partiely) and a lot of celebrities came from there. Does that count?

Since it's late and I'm bored; I'll list the celebrities: Jack Klugman, Joey Bishop, Norman Fell, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, David Brenner, Larry Fine and Joe DeRita (those last 2 were members of the 3 stooges, and David Brenner's a comedian who used to be on THE TONIGHT SHOW a lot in the 70s)
