And thanks to crude shooting up SIXTEEN DOLLARS A BARREL IN TWO DAYS (Currently $137 and change), gas has shot back up to the $4 mark.

**** the moron speculators who caused this. **** them.

Seth, I'd also direct my wrath at the enviro-wackos like Greenpeace and Earthjustice, as well as Al Gore's henchmen, who won't let us drill for oil in ANWR. I also heard a report saying Shearson Lehman is targeting oil at $150 by the fourth of July!

Fortunately, on the other hand, an oil refinery has been approved by voters in Union County, South Dakota, that will be the first in this country in 32 years!

Although I am back in NYC, I still like to drive. Heck I still keep my florida license for cheaper rates. These gas prices are just so high. What I do is take the train (subway) to cut back on using the car. People have asked me why I don't sell or get rid of it, but I like being self efficient. It's paid off, auto insurance is cheap and if there's another Transit strike, I will have a car to get around in.

With the gas, I just make sure that I pull from other financial sources to counter the increased prices on gas.

the shells around my house are over priced. they're anywhere between 5 and 10 cents more expensive than other gas stations. today i filled my tank up (it was a little less than half full) and it cost $50. uh...no thanks.
good thing my friend & i are carpooling to summer school. i plan on making use of the bus system when i start volunteering at places as well.

Casey's General Store generally has the cheapest around here, and my car does best with their gas. I feel bad for those of you in Cali. I was there two weeks ago and couldnt believe it, the most expensive I saw was 5 something and the cheapest I saw was 4.07

I think you're right; here in Ohio was another Speedway spike to $3.999. Although it's not quite $4, some places went up by more than 20 cents.
