GSN Salutes Bob Barker With a Week of Special Programming Featuring Career-Spanning Episodes of Classic Game Shows
Specials of I'VE GOT A SECRET, FAMILY FEUD, MATCH GAME and TATTLETALES Begin Airing May 15 as Part of GSN's Salute to Bob Barker Jeff Thisted of 'The Price Is Right' Joins 'PlayMania' as Host Thisted Hosts Special Barker Edition of 'quiznation' Friday, May 18 GSN.com Features Barker Trivia, Polls, and Exclusive Broadband Video SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 2 -- GSN pays tribute to Bob Barker, legendary host of television's longest running game show, with rarely-seen episodes of Barker appearances on classic game shows. GSN SALUTES BOB BARKER includes special episodes of I'VE GOT A SECRET, FAMILY FEUD, MATCH GAME and TATTLETALES featuring Barker and airs Tuesday, May 15 through Saturday, May 19 on GSN. From the classic to the contemporary, GSN's online portal, GSN.com, will feature an interactive poll to determine who viewers think should be the next "The Price Is Right" host; daily word search games and trivia that tests viewers knowledge of Barker; and exclusive broadband video on Barker including well-wishes from fans. Additionally, GSN's PLAYMANIA will devote a night of programming that celebrates Bob Barker. Making his debut as host on "quiznation", Jeff Thisted, a current "The Price Is Right" staff member, will lead the special night of game play. Thisted provides an insider's view into what goes on behind-the-scenes of America's favorite game show and insight into the magic that has made the show a cultural phenomenon. "Bob Barker has been a welcome and constant fixture in American households for a half century," commented Rich Cronin, President and CEO, GSN. "We wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on his life-spanning career in a way that only GSN can -- it's our way of congratulating him on the most extraordinary career in the game show world." Tuesday, May 15 through Friday, May 18 GSN will air back-to-back episodes of MATCH GAME at 9:00 and 9:30 PM. Originally aired between 1975 and 1978, these episodes feature Barker as a celebrity panelist, even donning a tuxedo for his first appearance on the show. Fellow panelists include regulars Charles Nelson Reilly, Brett Somers and Richard Dawson. Later on the same nights, GSN airs back-to-back episodes of FAMILY FEUD with Bob Barker and "Barkers Beauties" from "The Price Is Right" versus the stars from "The Young And The Restless" at 11:00 and 11:30 PM. Watch Bob, Rod Roddy and "The Price Is Right" models bank money for their favorite charity in these 1991 episodes hosted by Ray Combs. Saturday, May 19 at 7:00 PM GSN presents GAME SHOW COUNTDOWN: TOP 10 HOSTS. Tune-in to see how Bob Barker stacks up against his game show colleagues. Rounding-out the Saturday line-up, a classic episode of I'VE GOT A SECRET at 11:00 PM. Originally airing in 1972, this gem features host Steve Allen congratulating Barker on the success of his then new game show, "The Price Is Right," and follows Barker as he strikes up an impromptu pricing game with the audience. Finally, at 11:30 PM, a rarely-seen 1976 episode of TATTLETALES. Hosted by Barker himself, he trades places with Bert Convey so that Convey can play the game with other celebrity guests including Jack and Dolores Narz, and Richard Dawson and Judy Donovan. Barker, the eighty-three year old host of "The Price Is Right," recently announced plans to end his 35-year run as host of the iconic daytime game show in June. Barker began his game show career in 1956 as host of "Truth or Consequences," and went on to host "Dream Girl of '67" and "The Family Game."

I have been waiting so long to see more of TPIR vs. Y&R on Feud. Certainly will enjoy that.
And for those who are interested and have not yet seen the IGaS ep, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
