Default Is it WEIRD for a person not to ever call out sick in 44 years???-LOL

My mom just told me that my uncle worked for the post office and he never called out sicked in 44 years-lol Now that's pretty wacky because you don;t get an award for never using a sick day.

I don't know if weird's the right word. Lots of places will buy unused sick time back, vacation time too. If that's not the case, then I'd say your uncle shortchanged himself. Even if a person isn't physically sick, most everyone needs a mental health day here and there. I'm surprised that in all those years, he didn't need to take time off for a funeral or a medical crisis for himself or a loved one. Who am I kidding, it's very weird.

Nope. My grandfather worked for a plant for 50 years and never took a day off and was never late.

I work with a guy who never ever takes a sick day. He never gets sick, or sick enough to take a day off.
Of course I do get sick from time to time and use my sick days, which he can't stand.

We don't get our sick days back at the end of the year if we don't use them, so why let them go to waste?

Wow. I don't get sick too often so I don't use many sick days, but you better believe I'm calling in if I feel like crap.

Was he one of those people who also DIDN'T MISS A DAY OF SCHOOL?

Being a female and dealing with cramps, it was impossible to NOT miss school or work.

I'd call that an accomplishment!! I could never do it, though.

My Dad never called in sick. This was during the 50's and 60's. Money was tight and he had a large family to support. My mom told me that he never missed a days work other than for a funeral. He had a very low opinion of whiners and bellyachers.
