Updated: 1:43 a.m. ET Feb 28, 2007 More troubles on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy.” A spinoff of the popular series is in the works that will feature actress Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Montgomery, and some other cast members reportedly are feeling blindsided and short-changed. “The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of [Walsh],” a source told Star. “They each thought they’d be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they’re giving Kate the cold shoulder.” The source adds that “Grey’s” star Ellen Pompeo “seemed particularly peeved because she felt that, as the star, she should have been consulted.” The upset comes just as the storm over a furor over cast member Isaiah Washington’s gay slurs began to subside. Laments the source: “Things had finally settled down and now everyone’s disgruntled again.”

I also read yesterday that Katherine Heigel is at war with the producers over her salary.
This show is going to implode very soon. |

I always forget this board exists.
First of all. Kate did not ask for this show. Shonda asked her to do it. It's a stupid idea anyway and it won't last and Kate will be back on Grey's and all will be well with the world. |

Me too. The morale on that set must be really low right now, with all the infighting and controversy surrounding Isaiah Washington. Considering it's ABC's biggest hit now, the network must be working overtime to try to keep everybody on that show happy. |

My sentiments as well. GA is such a great show that I hate hearing about all the conflict and ill-will going on backstage of such a successful series...

GA sounds like a show that's going to raise and fall very quickly. People are just going to get tired of hearing about all these fights . They better be careful.

I still enyoy the show and would give the spinoff show a chance. Wonder if
things will ever calm down on the show? |
