Default Does anyone else have a COLD workplace??

The office building I work in is extremely drafty. I wear 4 layers and I'm STILL freezing. I don't even sit near the window anymore!! I hope I can find a portable desk top heater somewhere. It's horrible!!!

Yeah, in places. The hallway and gym are freezing. Some classrooms are almost too warm while others are fine. The heating in that school is pretty messed up.

I work in a warehouse and it can get pretty cold in the winter and hot in the summer. We do have heat but the warehouse is so big you really can't feel it. But when you get to working you warm up.

That's the tricky part about having a desk job. You really can't move around anywhere. You know it's bad when you wear 3-4 pairs of socks and boots and your feet are still freezing!!

I was freezing today. I was working at self checkout which are right by the doors. Whenever I was by the pay station and a customer would come in I would get this blast of frigid air, not pleasant.

Oh No

I was moved right by the back door. The bad thing is that because our restrooms are being renovated, the contractors are moving things in and out through the back door. Being December, we get hit with a blast of arctic air every time they go in and out.

Nah, it's not too bad. Once you get moving you warm up anyway.
Besides, if I'm uncomfortable, I just turn the heat on.

Some areas in the school I work at can get pretty chilly, especially around the main entrance. The teacher I work with is real hot-blooded and insists on shutting off the heat and even opening the window when she's having hot flashes. I try to be sympathetic because I can't stand feeling hot in the warmer weather, but I don't like feeling cold in this weather. I really wish it would occur to her to dress in layers instead of expecting the children and me to shiver so she can cool down and have her fresh air. I'm surprised none of the parents have complained yet.

Nice to know I'm not the only one shivering my way through the work day.

Yeah it's often cold in my work place. It's probably because of the doors always opening or because of our two aisle freezer section. It's also really cold in the back room.
