Default Bridge To Terabithia (SPOILERS)

I've seen the trailer for this a ton of times over the past couple of days - I'm so excited to check this movie out. I loved the book when I first read it, it totally made me cry. I'm sure the movie will affect me just as much - anybody else love this book, or planning to check out the movie?

I really want to see this actually. I hear the story is quite good. I was pretty disappointed by Narnia (loved the first half, didn't like the second) anyway, I think this will be a good fantasy movie from Disney hopefully.

I had to read the book for a class, and I totally ended up loving it. It's such a great story, and the friendship between the two kids is so touching and realistic. (And I totally cried when I was reading it, too.)

And I read that the author's son is actually the guy that wrote the movie, so I'm feeling pretty confident that it'll be really faithful to the story of the book.

This is actually the second BTT film. PBS (I think) aired a version back in the '80s. I read this back in 5th grade -- the 1990-91 school year!!! I've heard good things about the movie but I would still prefer to use my imagination without seeing it.

I remember how grown up, beautiful and mature the music teacher was when I read the book as an 11-year-old. Now the actress (Zooey D.) playing her in the movie is younger than me!! I feel so old now!!

I remember that version. It had Annette O'Toole playing the teacher. We watched it in school after we read the book. I remember being a little unimpressed (but it was made-for-tv in the late 80s/early 90s - I'm sure they tried hard). I'm looking forward to this version. They'll be able to do a lot more with special effects now.

I was a little worried when I found out Disney was going to do it, but they did a really good job with Tuck Everlasting -- it looks like they're gonna try and stick to the book. I just hope it doesn't upset too many kids, that book is SAD!

This was a great movie.
It wasn't like I expected it to be. I never read the book, but from the trailers I actually thought it was going to be like 'Narnia', but it was different(I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't seen it, that's why I am being so vague).
But it was sad. A lot more than I thought. Boy, if you don't cry(or for the men - if you don't hold back some tears) during this movie you may as well get yourself fitted for a casket, because you're dead.

I seen the movie and thought it was really good, although I didn't like the ending.

LOL, don't say I didn't warn you! I'm happy that I've read the book, so I'll at least know what's gonna happen. I feel sorry for people who aren't expecting that ending.

I loved this movie! It totally made me cry. I thought they way they portrayed the Jess and Leslie friendship was so realistic. In fact, I thought they handled everything in the movie, especially the ending (sob!) really delicately and sensitively. Two thumbs up, definitely! I'm glad that they did such a good job bringing the book to life and being true to the story.

Thumbs up Awesome movie!!

This was definitely one of the three best movies I've seen so far this year. Having never read the book, I wasn't all that excited going into the movie, as I thought it was just going to be some L.O.T.R., or Harry Potter type film, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually nothing like those films, and was more of a drama than a fantasy film. I enjoyed this movie so much that I actually went and saw it twice in the theatres. I rarely ever buy movies, as it has to be something that really touches me for me to buy it, but this is one movie that's definitely going into my collection!!

I was definately disappointed by it. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad movie or anything, but I don't think it lives up to its hype. There were too many little things that felt missing or forced in the movie. Plus Zooey Deschanel was hugely underused.
