Green Acres on ION - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok, what's the deal with Ion showing Green Acres with a sped up theme song. It's pretty obvious. I don't get why they do that. I've watched it on TVLand and on the DVD's that I have, and there is a distinct difference? Does anyone know why they do this? I mean, how much extra commercial time are they getting? 5 seconds? Now it makes me wonder which scenes they are cutting out as well. Hopefully season 4 will be released soon and then I won't have to watch the lame sped-up version.

Actually I think that the actual scenes are spend up to, but I'm not sure.

I didn't even know they were being shown on ION! Are they still since I see this is an old thread????

I wonder if they will EVER get to releasing volume 4 of Green Acres? It's been a long time since the last one.

No, no Green Acres anymore on ION. In Chicago you can see GA now on ME-TV. ION is strange - they only broadcast for a few hours in the evening, and the bulk of that is Mama's Family. Otehrwise the TV station is all infomercials.

I am also waiting for season 4 on DVD.

I hope that Green Acres does Return to Ion you can watch Green Acres at 12:30 pm Central Time on TV Land
