I think we'll see a lot of supposedly abandoned shows be released again. I figured the studios would rather concentrate on what sells better for them and that they'll slowly churn out the other shows.

We'll see at least one more season of:
Mork & Mindy
Laverne & Shirley
Partridge Family
Murphy Brown
Taxi
Green Acres
Mad About You
Happy Days
The Flying Nun
Archie Bunker's Place (probably 1 a year like AITF)
All in the Family
The Jeffersons
Diff'rent Strokes

So many other shows to consider ... I pretty much agree 100% with Pavan on his picks.

Excellent preview, Todd. Again a great job, like last year.

My wishlist for 2007 (shows that are NOT on your predictions):

227 - more seasons
Amen
Hangin' with Mr. Cooper
Harry and the Hendersons
Hogan Family
Hooperman
Hope & Faith
New Leave it to Beaver
Out of this World
Mr. Belvedere
Small Wonder
Step by Step
Webster
- Most of these are wishful thinking, though I think Step by Step and Amen have a great chance to get released in 2007.

I want tons of shows that are on your 2007 predictions list, like Perfect Strangers and Silver Spoons.

My Wishlist:

17. Hogan Knows Best (2005)
16. Freddie (2005)
15. Hot Properties (2005)
14. Birds Of Prey (2002)
13. Pepper Dennis (2006)
12. Clueless (1996)
11. The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody (2005) [Seasons]
10. Hannah Montana (2006) [Seasons]
9. Ally McBeal (1997) [Blind Buy]
8. Brothers & Sisters (2006)
7. Two Guys And A Girl (1998)
6. According To Jim (2001)
5. Family Matters (1989)
4. Yes, Dear (2000)
3. Unhappily Ever After (1995)
2. Hope & Faith (2003)
1. 8 Simple Rules (2002)

Predictions:

New shows such as... Brothers & Sisters, Heroes, Ugly Betty, Jericho, Shark, Studio 60, ect.

Continuations of successful DVD shows such as... Bewitched, Frasier, Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, That '70s Show, I Dream Of Jeannie, Full House, Fresh Prince, Roseanne, The King Of Queens, Family Guy, The Simpsons, King Of The Hill, ect.

8 Simple Rules (I think it is a dark horse for a great DVD success, and will be given a shot by the end of '07.)

According To Jim (While it is very popular in syndication, now is the time to cash in.)

Ally McBeal (FOX can't possibly delay this any longer.)

Family Matters/Perfect Strangers (WB will probably bring them out on the same date.)

Hannah Montana (Season sets make perfect sense for Disney Channel's highest rated show. It's popularity is massive right now.)

Step By Step (What are WB waiting for? This should do fine considering the massive success of Full House.)

The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody (Same as Hannah Montana... Now is the time to release seasons because once the popularity has died down it may end up like Lizzie McGuire. [Abandoned])

Yes, Dear (Fox is pretty good about releasing recent sitcoms, so don't be surprised if season 1 of this shows up on disc around summertime.)

I am also banking on Sony giving some more seemingly "abandoned" shows a shot... Just Shoot Me, Diff'rent Strokes, Whos The Boss?, ect.

I think we are sure to see the following releases in 2007. I'm only listing ones that have not been announced.

Returning Shows
The Facts Of Life (probably 2 more seasons, at least)
Gimme a Break! (I think VEI will release another season before the years is out)
Kate & Allie (same as Gimme a Break!)
Archie Bunker's Place (It's very possible Sony might release this in 2007. Since it deals with the passing of Edith, many fans will want to pick this one up. It is historically crucial to one of the most influencial sitcoms of all-time)
I Love Lucy: Complete Box Set (I have a good feeling that a special box with all seasons will be released in special packaging later in 2007)

New Shows
What's Happening Now!! (technically a returning show since it is a continuation of WH!! but I'm treating it as a 'new show'. I think Sony already plans to release this in 2007)
Square Pegs (I think hardcore Sarah Jessica Parker fans will pick this up for a look at her early years. Plus, as Todd said in his predicitons, it would make a perfect dvd release. Not sure if this is coming in 2007 but I think it will come out at some point)

Video ETA, has Daria: The Complete First Season listed as a "Maybe."
http://videoeta.com/movie.html?via=form&id=89311

Then again, there are a lot of titles coming out on DVD that they've overlooked.

Even Stevens is already available in Australia, but there are bootleg copies out there. This is one:

http://www.tvdvdplanet.com/movies/ch...FRJ3UAodKVb6gw

This isn't:
http://www.madman.com.au/actions/cat...42&method=view

This doesn't mean either of them will.

Rumors of them coming to the US have persisted, though.

You know, for all you Roseanne fans out there, I heard that season 7 is coming in early April, and season 9 will hits stores at the end of the year, from Rose(the TV on DVD specialist over at Anchor Bay Entertainment.)

I would really like to see a second season of Murphy Brown especially. This show was a great show, tremendoiusly popular. IT is just too bad that we only get 1 season oout of a 10 season run. I think Warner Bros. isn't the type to abandon shows altogether, and we will see a second season.

I think anothe season of Who's the Boss? is very unlikely, but as popular as this show was, you'd think it would sell well.

I think another season of The Nanny is also very likely. The seasons so excellent on Amazon, and when the restock on the shelves in Best Buy, they are usually gone in a week.

Also, The Facts of Life will happen, and hopefully Fresh Prince will too. I mean, you'd think we would have seen another season by now. And let's hope Mad About You season 3 sells really well, so we can at leazst get a fourth season as well.

First, I agree with Todd on "The Wonder Years". If any company could tackle this release it would be Shout! Factory. I just hope Fox is willing and is smart enough to approach them and allow them to tackle this release. The 6-episode first season (and the series) would benefit from them. I would have no worries. It would sell incredibly well (like Todd said, it's the most requested unreleased show on DVD). It will sell if Fox takes a risk and clear all of the music (including unedited episodes) and uses this as a springboard for future releases.

Speaking of Fox, why the delay on the popular "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place"? I'd expected with Traylor Howard now on "Monk” that they would capitalize on the fact. Plus it's one of the most requested shows on TVShowsOnDVD. I would love to see this sitcom on DVD in its original form, which I haven't seen since ABC's first-run broadcasts (watching the butchered WE re-runs which also remove the opening credits from the first two seasons is unbearable). It's currently not airing anywhere on television.

"Working", Fred Savage's short-lived (and two season) series that ran on NBC. I would love to see this in 2007. The first season was a fan-favorite, the second season, not so much (due to the cast changes).

"Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family" - With "Family Ties" coming, I hope Warner Bros. releases this series in 2007. I would like to see this as it was originally aired (with all of the original opening and closing credits and unedited). Along with "Family Ties", it's one of my favorites.

"The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" - Fox really needs to bring this classic black-and-white sitcom to DVD. Except for an airing on TV Land last year, it's currently not airing on television. I have fond memories of this (I used to watch it when it was on Nick at Nite) and it is so under-the-radar at Fox, one wonders if we'll ever get it.

I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I'd love to see That's So Raven season sets but its pretty obvious that Disney are not interested in releasing their shows in this format.
I'd also love to see Less Than Perfect hit DVD, but thats extremely unlikely as well.

I'm looking forward to the fourth and final Punky Brewster set!

My signature is my wish list for season starters.

As for returning sets, I'd love more Kate & Aliie and Growing Pains!
