Danger Mouse
http://www.dangermouse.org/what.html
I loved the title theme song: He's The Best He's The Greatest He's The Greatest Secret Agent In The World! He's The Ace - He's Amazing... He's the Strongest... He's The Quickest.... He's The Best! Danger Mouse! Danger Mouse! Danger Mouse! Danger Mouse! I loved the series, when I saw it on Nickelodeon in 1993. I figured that the title was based on Patrick McGoohan's "Danger Man" ( "Secret Agent" in the USA, with the hit title song "Secret Agent Man" ), though the series don't bear resemblence to each other. I liked it that Danger Mouse was one of the few cartoon mice whose theme wasn't cat-bashing. In fact, the recurring villain, was a Toad or Frog, I think? Baron Silas Greenback, who had a fluffy white caterpillar for a pet, instead of a white cat ala James Bond's Ernest Stavro Blofeld. I think one villain WAS a cat, but wasn't bashed --or maybe wasn't a villain at all. ![]() AHA! Just checked: episode 27: "The Planet of the Cats" Danger Mouse and Penfold end up in the future where the world is ruled by cats who are taking orders from a descendent of Greenback. b: 18 Apr 83 pc:http://epguides.com/DangerMouse/guide.shtml#ep027 and episode #57: "Cat-Astrophe" Greenback creates a mechanical cat that kidnaps Colonel K. b: 11 Apr 85 pc: http://epguides.com/DangerMouse/guide.shtml#ep057 Last edited by EmpressDR : 12-01-2006 at 05:49 PM. |
