Default The ultimate Thanksgiving question- What are you thankful for?

Well, Thanksgiving is two days away. Time for us to rack our brains and post what we're thankful for.

Me? I'm simply thankful for my life.

I'm thankful for a lot, but what I'm most grateful for is my husband. There are no words to describe the depth of my love for him. When others let me down or just in times of trouble, he's always there for me. I would be lost without him. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful partner in life.

I'm thankful for my TRUE friends, and for my family. There have been so so many changes in my life this year, and I know I wouldn't have been able to make it through without them. I'm also thankful that my mom pulled through her second heart surgery, and that she is doing so well today. I know it's because of those prayers from my many friends that is why she's doing as good as she is, and so I'm incredibly grateful for that!! Mostly though, and I know this is cliche, but it's the truth, I'm thankful to God, not only for not turning His back on me even though Iv'e been a BAD BAD boy, but for actually staying with me, and helping me, despite all my many faults. God has been great to me, and for that I am truly grateful!! There is so much more that I'm thankful for, but those things top my list.

I am thankful for so many things. This year has been particularly tough on my family and I, but I am still grateful for what we do have.

I am thankful for having a family that will be with me no matter what. The love and support they offer will always be there for me.

I am thankful for amazing friends who make me laugh and offer a shoulder to cry on.

I am thankful that I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and warm clothes...oh, and my internet, of course

I am thankful to work at a job that isn't all that bad (even though I do complain about it).

I am thankful I have a sense of humor to get me through those times when all I really feel like doing is crying.

And lastly, I am thankful for Jake Gyllenhaal lookin' so damned fine! He really gets me through those cold winter nights.

The thing I'm most thankful for, is Marc. Even though we broke up, he is still always there for me. I've been going through a lot of hard things this past year with my family about me being gay etc. And whenever i need to talk he is always there for me, and helps me. If it wasn't for him I doubt that i'd even still be alive today. So thank you Marc, your the best ever.

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. I am thankful for their health. I am especially THANKFUL for my youngest child's health. Earlier in the year, we thought she had Leukemia. Thank the good Lord it wasn't. I am sooooo thankful for that.

Well, I am thankful to just be alive... Thankful I was able to experience such an awesome 2006. I am thankful to have such an awesome brother-in-law -- he is my brother-in-law as of this past Sunday, by the way -- who changed his life for my sister. He was leading a bad life before my sister, and once she entered his life, he changed for the better. I am so happy they have each other now.

Awww, that is so awesome!! I'm happy for you and your sister Cathy!!

I'm also thankful for my new sister in-law Kelli, who officially became a member of the Russ family on July 8 2006. I love you, and am glad to have you in the family!!

Actually, my sister isn't named Cathy. You're not even close, but that's OK, don't worry about that. lol

He is already an awesome brother-in-law and I know he will make one hell of a great father one of these days. I can't wait to finally have a niece or nephew to spoil rotten.

I'm happy to be alive. And I am thankful that 2006 has been a better year for me than 2005 was. And 2007 will be the best yet!

Right now, in the state of mind I'm in, very little. Guess I'm grateful I haven't had a total breakdown. *shrugs*

- My family. Especially that my dad's still here. He's had a lot of health problems flourish this year and he was even almost close to death last month after he had surgery, but he's alive and well and I hope that he'll be with us for many more years to come.

- My friends

- My opportunity to higher education

- My new job

- My life
