Thanks for posting these screencaps! The episode with Lucy is the only one I've seen and I thought it was hilarious.

I have yet to see it. I want to. Hopefully, TV LAND will revisit its classic period.

Yikes, how many generations down is that? I have a master on that and I think one other episode. I also watched a few out at UCLA. Not a bad show but it probably came a little too soon, before the whole nostalgia craze took off.

I've never seen either version, but I'd like to someday. How long was Jean Hagen on the show?

Jean Hagen was on for three seasons before she quit, her character was killed off, Danny spent a season as a widower, gradually re-entering the dating scene and met Marjorie Lord's Kathy, then a nurse, near the end of the season. When the show returned for season 5, the first episode shows Danny, Kathy and the kids all enjoying the honeymoon (shades of the Brady Bunch to come)--this is usually the episode that begins the syndication package last put out by sfm entertainment.

TV Land would never show anything with the word Granddaddy in it's title.

Default GRANDDADDY

Lucille Ball wasn't the only great guest. Diana Ross was in one,
Frank Sinatra was in another, and the list goes on.
Singer/Football star Rosey Grier was a regular on the show.

MRFG has never rerun anywhere since it's original airings on ABC. Just not enough episodes. I don't believe it's even listed in the TV Syndication book.
