Fruit's definitely healthy, no transfat or any processed stuff, but it is high in carbs- precisely why it's monitered so closely on low-carb diets like the Atkins and South Beach.

Veggies are good. Celery has practically no calories in it. When I want a snack, I usually grab some celery and spread low-fat peanut butter in it. Yummy.

I eat fruit in front of television in the evening, especially cantaloupe and watermelon slices. Mmmmmmm delicious and healthy. Fruit is the best snack in the world and good for you too. Seedless grapes are the BOMB!!! You don't have to worry abt seeds, just pop them in your mouth. And you don't need a soda or some other drink to water down your delicious fruit snack. Unlike with popcorn, pretzels or some other item.

Solomon, you are smarter than this, you know damn well that fruit is one of many snacks one can eat while eating. Not just junk food.

Also, what does being on a diet have to do with it? Why is that in your title? Fruit is a good snack whether you are on a diet or not. I don't get that part of your title.

Hmm... try looking up some low-fat snacks online. It doesn't necessarily have to be raw fruit and veggies. Salsa is very good for you, pair it with some Tostitos and pop it in the microwave with a bit of melted cheese on top, and you have a great snack that's not completely horrible for you.

Let me tell you something...sometimes I don't even need dinner after eating some fruit. I get so full from the fruit (and the water in them) that I don't feel hungry. With junk food/snacks, I feel bloated and thirsty. Less calories and good for you. I don't even want to tell you what is in all those junk snacks.

Exactly. Soda just makes you more thirsty and the carbs in it are horrible; salty snacks like chips just make you want to drink more (and let's face it- who drinks WATER with chips? You reach for a coke!)

I steer clear of all junk food and soda. The only *remotely* close thing to junk food I'll eat is nonsalted/nonbuttered popcorn. It's good for you. As for soda, I used to be a Diet Coke addict. I'm serious, consuming up to a 12 pack a day. No wonder I blew up in less than a year. Now all I drink is water and coffee.

Solomon, drink a lot of water. Speeds up metabolism.

Salsa isn't bad for you, it's all veggies. I think it has about 25 cals per serving? And for Tostitos, eat them in moderation and you won't have a problem. They're mostly corn anyways, they're better for you than chips.

Yep, u are so right abt the water and the carbs in sodas. Water is so damn good for you. I buy those small bottled waters and put a couple in the freezer. So when I get one out, icy cold and so darn good.

I actually liked baked Lays a lot (the sour cream ones are amazing!) They are lower in fat than regular chips (you just have to watch how much you have because of the salt), but they taste just as good, if not better than the regular chips.

That's a good snack

I love water! If I'm in the mood for something different with my water, I usually buy the Fruit 2O or Propel waters (I love peach and strawberry kiwi).
