LOS ANGELES (AP) — Whitney Houston has filed for divorce from her husband Bobby Brown, her publicist told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Publicist Nancy Seltzer declined to reveal where or when Houston filed the divorce papers, and said the singer had no statement to make.

"I can just confirm that she has filed for divorce," Seltzer said.

Houston and Brown, who married in 1992, have had a sometimes tumultuous marriage, and rumors of their breakup have surfaced often over the years.

The couple have one child, 13-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Well, maybe she can get her life and career back on track with Bobby out of the picture...

I'm surprised because I know she swore up and down that she would stay with Bobby forever. I guess she came to her senses and realized enough was enough.

Too little too late for Whitney. Her career is permanently damaged.

Another showbiz marriage bites the dust?

What is this world coming to?

Well, the good news is that E! can finally finish that "True Hollywood Story" on the Whitney/Bobby marriage they've been working on for the past 14 years...

Maybe President Bush will be in the forefront to catch Bin Laden when he gets out of his fox hole to look for Whitney.

This one actually surprised me. I thought they deserved each other. I remember when Whitney first hit the scene. She was so wholesome. He mother kept her close to her. She met that creep and that was the beginning of the end for her. Last I read, she was strung out. I think we'll hear bad news about her one day, if she doesn't get help.

I saw Whitney this evening walking with Clive Davis. I think it was on Entertainment tonight and she still looked strung out.
