Post Most compelling Doe Network cases

I thought it would be interesting to post some of the most compelling Doe Network cases in your opinions. Of course there are so many to choose from so I'll just post them as I find them. Here's one I recently came across that sounds interesting. Any thoughts on this one - do any of you believe Reneer's story?

That's a good one, CD. You know, I don't know THAT much about polygraphs, but I did have two psychology teachers tell me how to pass one even if I was lying. (Not me specifically-- we were studying polygraphs as methods of determining guilt or innocence in class.) I think it's certainly possible that someone can pass a polygraph while lying.

However, my gut tells me that this guy is telling the truth. It would make sense for DeWayne to disappear, especially if he killed the two girls. On the other hand... anyone else getting a Marvin Gabrion vibe from this guy? Everyone associated with the case is turning up missing.....

Weird question: If I go into the "unidentified victims" section on the Doe Network website, will I see pics of dead bodies? I would like to look at the cases, but I'm terrified of what I'll see.

Its not a weird question. I have been on that part of Doe several times and I never remember seeing an actual photo of a corpse. In fact I was just on there. Most of the photos appear to be clay moldings when they put clay over an unidentified skull or composite sketches. I'm not saying they don't look creepy because some of them do but there are no actual pictures of dead people that I can recall.

Another case that was an update on Doe. Here's an article:

http://www.rickross.com/reference/fa...es/fsm106.html

This happened not too far from me. I found it strange that she went missing and her psychologist did at the same time but they didn't seem to broadcast the latter fact much at all. Certainly not your typical case, she seems to convince Robin that she has been abused (who knows whether there's any validity to it) and then takes off with her??!! Whats even more strange is not too long ago they did find Robin living in another state under an assumed name but didn't mention whether the psychologist was with her or even any mention of the psychologist. I believe the psychologist did leave her family behind as well so I really don't understand why they disappeared together. So strange...

I wonder what happened to this little girl? Her luggage arrived... so she was obviously at the very least at the airport.

Very interesting case. What is so frustrating is with these cold cases is they give you so little info. I mean was there any suspicion directed at any of her family members? Did anyone see her at the airport? I know its been 34 years now but I wish they would give some more info. My guess is she may have been abducted at the airport and never made it on the plane. I guess its also possible with her age that she could have been a runaway. I wonder if her sister dropped her off at the airport or went inside with her. I couldn't find much on the net about her but since she's on doe that means she's still missing.

Here's one about the disappearance of a college student in Vermont that coincides with other strange disappearances and a death in the same region, sometimes referred to as the "Bennington Triangle".

http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/1784dfvt.html

Other articles discussing the disappearances (sorry they're not Doe network related, but I thought the whole story was pretty interesting.)

Katherine and Sheila Lyons. This case is so heartbreaking.

It seemed like so many other children saw the man with the microphone who was a suspect in the case.

Does anyone know if there is any new info on this case?

The case of Andrew Amato missing 4 year old from Webster,MA. Nathanial Barjonah is a possible suspect. I'd post a link if I could get to the Doe Network site right now. finally here's the link http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/790dmma.html

Nathaniel Bar-Jonah is an evil, evil man. I wish I could say something of more substance here, but I can't think of anything else. The man truly sickens me.

awww seeing the pictures of those little girls breaks my heart

these days the guy would've been caught for sure, almost everybody has a cell phone, the driver could've called the cops and once the helicopter is on your ass, you're doomed. or had an amber alert issued.

people are sick.

The Indiana Dunes State Park was one of my favorite place to visit growing up. I didn't hear about these cases until just recently:
http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/662dfin.html

Like the The Springfield Three, someone was able to get these women to go with them. Somehow, this individual was witnesses by a lot of other people but has escaped justice.

Somewhere out there, there is an evil man who must be feeling quite smug.

You will occasionally come across what's clearly a doctored photo of a deceased individual on the DoeNetwork. -They'll change the eyes, hairstyle, sometimes add a collar...but in those cases it's obvious that the photo was of an undecomposed body with no visible trauma to begin with. And the rest (the majority) are sketches or clay reconstructions. However I usually tend to find those to be even more disturbing.

This is only my second post here, so please pardon me while I learn the ropes. One of the first cases I saw on Doe years ago was this one:
http://doenetwork.org/cases/127umva.html

He's kind of haunted me ever since. The case should have been solved by now, but it hasn't been. Over the years, when I've been searching for other cases, the guy alwasy seems to pop up. I don't know why.

Yes! I remember it being featured in a quick segment on Unsolved Mysteries when I was a kid! It always stuck with me, too. I figure he's just never been reported missing. If he was hitching across country alone to follow the Dead, he may have already been living a transient or runaway lifestyle. The fact that he could have began his travels from pretty much any point in the country won't help identify him, either. I wonder if the 2 Carolines are still in touch. Obviously and unfortunately they haven't been identified. I'll bet if this case got some new media publicity it finally could be solved. Maybe at this point someone out there would be starting to worry about why this kid never called home or got in touch with anyone after this long.
For some reason the picture of him reminded me of a similarly haunting case from DoeNetwork- another young man, probably runaway who was murdered in Louisiana. Warning: I get the feeling the photo is a slightly-altered photo of the actual deceased but if that won't bother you please check it out... http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/8umla.html
