Dang, I was waiting for someone to bring this up. I didn't want to ask, because I thought half the people here haven't even read them.
Anyway, I'd have to say "Prisoner of Azkaban" (Book 3) is my favorite. It's just a rollercoaster of a ride, what with the great climax and the huge revelation. I like the first one, I mean, it's classic. The second one was better than the first one. That was when it gave you the idea that Harry Potter wasn't just some kiddie book. And I really liked "Goblet of Fire". I didn't like it any less than "Prisoner", but it's just "Prisoner" was just so good, "Goblet" couldn't quite compare. I still loved it though. It has the best Quidditch match , and the Second Task is absolutely nerveracking. It's pretty sad too, especially at the end. But then again, the Yule Ball chapter was hilarious. Okay, now I'm just rambling. Half of you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, so... ![]() |

I think the 1st is okay, the 2nd is boring, the 4th is very good, but I LUV the 3rd! I always enjoy for some reason reading the last Quidditch match, where Gryfindor wins the cup thingy....Also, Dobby annoys me! Remmber the little elf dude from 2? In the 3rd, the best part is when Hermione slaps Malfoy. That part is hilarios.

I love all four of them! My favorite used to be the second one, but I'm not sure now. I'll have to read the 4th book for a second time. They are all sooo good! The first one, as Cokies said, is definitely a classic. I love the whole time travel thing in book three. I hope Harry gets to live with Sirius eventually! I can't wait until book five comes out. Does anyone know when that is? P.S. Cokies, you wrote a really good review-type thing of the books!

I also have those 2 books. They are Harry's school books. The ferocious beasts (sp?) one is funny cuz Harry and Ron wrote stuff in it

I do too! ~ Believe me, I can't wait either. The last word on the release date was around January or February of 2002. I guess we don't have to wait TOO long. The movie can tide us over til then. ~ Why, thank you! Oh, and who ever mentioned the part when Hermione slaps Malfoy is right. That scene was great. I think that was the part that made her my favorite character. |

I just started reading the Harry Potter books and they are good. The first one, Harry Potter and The Sorceror's Stone was great and I think it's the best one so far. I haven't finished the second one since I've already started school and I didn't have much time to just sit and relax. I'm so glad it's Friday so I can start finishing the 2nd book, which is: Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets. It's pretty slow starting, unlike the first one, but it's ok. So far I'm on page 119. I know still got a lot to read, but usually once I get time to sit, I usually read a lot and I'd get done reading in 3 days.

If there's a fault in the Harry Potter books, it's the first couple of chapters in every book that are there to establish everything. But once they get to Hogwarts, it's all smooth-sailing. Although "The Goblet of Fire" has the longest prelude, it's due to The Quidditch World Cup, which is very cool. That's cool that you're still on the second book, because you've got a lot of great reading in front of you. Keep reading! |

I have to go with the majority and say that the 3rd is the best overall. I like certain parts in the 4th one alot too though
