Question Why are shows on N@N and TVLand not starting on the hour and half hour?

I thought my clock was off, but it's not. I only watch those channels after midnight. Fresh Prince will start at 1:40am or whatever. What's going on?

I asked this too a while back. I think Solomon had the answer, not sure. Can you imagine people who want to tape something and how screwed up that must be????????

I'm confused too because the 10pm marathons are ending at 1:40ish instead of 2am. I was so pissed when this happened during the Jeffersons marathon on Saturday. I was thinking N@N was rushing to show that DIRTY SHOW called roaseanne from 1:40am to 6am

they've been doing it since june and it's really annoying. i remember back in june/early june when they had 12-4 am marathons (on Nick@Nite at least) they were even doing it then. so annoying.

Not reading the blog (or the monthly TVL/NAN threads), Janice?

Yes, this has been discussed so many times. They are adding more commercials to overnight, which is why the 12-4am marathons only have seven airings of sitcoms, instead of eight.
This was scheduled to stop after the end of August, but will continue in September and possibly beyond that. The times will be off only during 10pm-6am now on TV Land and I guess 12-6am on Nick@Nite. Commercials mean more business I guess. Ratings are not suffering, so I guess it is good for them.

Yay, no more creepy hosts.

I didn't read the blog, but I had guessed they were doing it to add more commercials--I noticed the commercials seem to last FOREVER. I can't see why TVLand needs to run more commercials; since they already chop up the shows they should be making enough money from commercials...oh well.
