Default need help finding funny tv moments

Hi,

I'm working on a television special which will focus on the Funniest Moments that have aired on TV from the 1950's to the present. I would love to know know what you guys think are the funniest, and what episodes they came from (if you know). Your thoughts on this are very important to us...we want to hear from the experts!

Thanks in advance for all your responses.

Best,

Darrell

Seinfeld - The Contest - Kramer: I'm out!

Family Ties - 4 Rms Ocn Vu
Steven: Alex, parents are conditioned to put up with a few minor accidents when they leave their children home alone. A broken vase, spilt milk on the rug... There was a kangaroo... in my living room.
Alex P. Keaton: ...He was just here for the party dad.
Steven: Then I guess I'm overreacting.

OKay here is a list off the to of my head-

1- the everybody loves raymond episode, in which the mother - creates a statue that is...er,....well very gerogie okeefish.
and Raymond figures it out and is just beside himself in awkward

2-The bob newhart episode- in which he orders moogoo gai pan.
I think it is "over the river and through the woods"

3-Family guy, the "viewers request" episode

4-Of course there are the classic I love lucy episodes, been done before - but always funny.

5-ellen show (the one she is a councler at a school) the episode in which there is a racoon digging up the yard-
had ot pause the hsow i was laughing so hard

6- whos line is it anyways, seaosn 5- the peisode with richard simmons.
In the "livign scenery" part.
hands down, funniest thing ever.

thats off the top of my head..

Perfect Strangers - Larry & Balki fixing the shower in "Pipe Dreams"
What's Happening!! - Dee doing the burger commercial in "Burger Queen"

Agree with John Ritter's "Up in the Air" dance scene; that one's a classic.

Hmm, I would say from All in the Family, the episode "The Bunkers & the Swingers" where Edith accidentally starts writing to a couple who enjoy swapping spouses, the episode where Sammy Davis Jr. kisses Archie, ("Sammy's Visit") "Mike Meets Archie," "Archie in the Cellar," and tons of others.

The Andy Griffith Show: My faves are "Convicts-at-Large," (Barney starts dancing with a hefty lady criminal in an attempt to throw her in jail--funny stuff!) "The Haunted House," (my favorite episode; Gomer and Barn check out a haunted house) all of the eps with Ernest T., ("The Education of Ernest T. in particular) "Barney and the Choir," etc.

Green Acres: Every single episode...they're all too wacky to pick just a few.

I'm not sure if you're doing game shows, but there are lots of moments to choose from in that area, as well, most notably in older shows such as "Match Game," "The Newlywed Game," "Tattletales," "Hollywood Squares," etc.

Sorry; I got carried away with listing things...hope this helped!

I have always been partial to the military comedies.

The first great comedy was Phil Silvers as Master Sargant Bilko in the Phil Silvers show. Set in mythical fort Baxter, Silvers and a great cast afforded the viewer with many laughs in the early 50's. Bilko tried each week to outwit the men and of course Col. Hall, played perfectly by Paul Ford. Funny, funny Show.

At the same time was McHale's Navy, with Ernest Borgnine as Commander Quentin McHale. I thought the best portrayal was by Joe Flynn as Captain Binghamton. Tim Conway got his start as Ensign Parker. Another funny show.

This show only lasted for two seasons but I loved F-Troop. My favorite character was Wild Eagle and his sayings always slayed me. Really missed the show when it got cancelled.

Harvey

I agree about the "Birth" episode of Murphy Brown - it's hysterical! But I'm shocked no one has mentioned Chuckles the Clown's funeral on Mary Tyler Moore. Mary gets the giggles and tries, rather unsuccessfully, to hide it. Finally the priest tells her to stand and "Laugh, laugh for Chuckles," b/c that's what he would've wanted, and Mary responds by dissolving into tears. That discription did NOT do the scene justice, but anyone who's seen it will tell you it's hilarious!
