First season black and white shows(from 1964-1965)would have been just as funny-and made the color episodes REALLY memorable(this is just my opinion, because to me,the color shows were somewhat of a letdown)if they had returned-1)the japanese soldier 2)Wrong Way Feldman and 3)Dubov,that eccentric painter(as Gilligan said.reading Dubov's note in Dubov's voice(a very clever gimmick)"When Dubov ready,Dubov come back".They would have been a delight if they had returned.

I would say Wrong Way Feldman (Hans Conried), the Jungle Boy (Kurt Russell), the Japanese Sailor (Vito Scotti), and Dubov (Harold J. Stone).

I never liked the Dubov character for some reason. I like the actor though. He was great as the captain in Get Smart's "Ship of Spies".
Larry Storch's gangster was interesting.
