Madness in da house! I'm still here. How's your sites going? Any info with Jeremy in People magazine? Well, I'll see if I can think of something to spark interest here. Maybe I'll take out an ad in the TV Guide. How funny would that be?:-) Of course I won't but it's not a bad idea!lol

doh, you scared me making all that noise Madness. I don't have the Hogans site anymore, no updates on Jeremy's site either. Just a few questions every now and then. No date for the People article yet. I'll be sure to let everyone know when I hear details.

I'm still bummed that no station has picked up THF for reruns, it would be great to see the shows again. Would bring back nice memories...

I'm going to *try* and get my own domain name in the next month and start a dannyyell.com website. I'm so tired of banners, they stink up a site. Just screaming at you.. Can you tell I've been bored in here all alone?? Gosh you guys.

Thanks for the news and good luck with the domain. I would suggest calling TNN at 1-888-POP-1090. That's all I can think of besides USA and TBS. I just don't understand why nobody picks it up?!

I'm glad you think so highly of them! LOL I'll take the show anywhere. Even though there's an annoying black bar on the bottom at least the ending is free of ads and voiceovers.

Too bad I don't have the whole collection(would've been a nice cha-ching and a very nice summer for me!) I would've sold them to you for $4,999.99! A steal of a deal if you ask me!

what a bargain!! see I knew I came to the right place.. you be sure and keep me posted on that video situation. =P

Hmm.. I have a question. You're a guy, hopefully you can answer this for me. I (as well as other girls who grew up in the 80's) watched THF because the guys were totally hot. I mean.. HOT. What did you get out of the show, being a guy? Everyone else please feel free to jump in here.

Cool

Good question. I liked all the family shows in the 80's. They don't make them like that anymore. From Growing Pains to the Hogan Family, they were all great. What made me watch the Hogans, well, I was young and there was nothing bad about the show that a little kid couldn't watch it. I would say that was the main reason. Also, the characters. Sandy was a riot(i.e.-on top of the buffing machine). Mrs. Poole was the neighbor you wish you had(at times), Burt was a good friend you could always count on(but don't leave him alone with your Golden Grahams!) and so on. They were ALL great(well, maybe not Grampa but oh well) and you could relate to at least one. Me, I was somewhat like Mark in school being smart and all and a little bit of David being pretty popular and like Willie in the beginning before he became the athlete on the show--when he was more of a class clown. Dannyyell and everyone else, can you relate to any and if so which?

<nods> Well, it's hard for me as a girl to try and relate to anyone in particular because the characters I could relate to at that age were male and the women were much older than me. Soooo... that makes it tough. I did enjoy hearing your answer to the question though.. it makes sense. Eighties family shows were great, and watching them 15-20 yrs. later brings back memories of my childhood that nothing else can. And I think I'll always clutch them because of that. I think relating to one character is difficult for me, because I see each of them in myself. And at that age I had the mixture; I was always talkative (ok for an 8 yr. old) and was finding my first love, and trying to build on my identity. It was a total growing experience, and that's why I love the show.

I see what you mean with the older ladies!haha. Didn't think of that. Then again, there's Cara and Brenda. You stated great reasons--everything is very true.

I'll be around the board if you have a question.

Yep, I'm here. It has been quiet here lately, and yet every so often I check the board out (about 3 times a week or so) to see if anything new has come up. You want to contribute but have nothing new to offer, so you stay mute. Anyone else have this problem?

And as for your HOGAN FAMILY webpage, Dannyyell, I think you should put it back up. So what if there's nothing new? It gives us fans at least something to see, and you did a decent job with it. Not only that, btu with all of this campaigning we've been doing to get the show back on the air (or released on video/DVD), the powers-that-be may be convinced if there's more than a handful of webpages on the show. One thing's for sure, it couldn't hurt. At least think about it...

Take care all!

hi Ed! Yea I know what you mean when it comes to finding new topics, it's difficult.

I wish I could keep the excitement for the Hogans page, it was more of a creative thing for me. But there really is *no* material on there.. it's totally recycled. (link wise) So I have pulled it for now, might do something new when I can gather material. Or when I can at least do something unique.

Keep in touch Hoganatics.
