I am having a dispute resolution on Ebay from a buyer of one of my items. She bought it, but never got it so she filed a complaint.I couldn't insure it or track it (it was sent to Australia)At first, I offered a refund. It turns out that the 90 days passed and never heard from her again.I hear from her yesterday asking for her money back. Ebay tells me that I'm not entitled to refund her money because the dispute has been closed. Now, I want to tell her that I would've gladly done it ect within the time frame BUT since the issue is now closed I won't. (Does that sounds harsh?)
Here's some of what I wrote: Hi ---: I received an email from Ebay saying that the time frame has passed (90 days) and that the dispute has been closed. I contacted them and was told that after that time frame I am not obligated to make a refund.I would've had no problem refunding during the time frame of the dispute but think that after it has expired I thought that you had declined to pursue it further.... |

If the person did not receive the item, they should be refunded the money they spent. It is only right.

The fact that she waited so long, did she actually receieve it or not is my question?
How much money are we talking about? What is the item? |

I have no way of knowing if the item was received because tracking or insurance is not available for Australia. It was $25 for 3 books. I called Pay Pal this morning and started discussing the issue with them too. The assistance there told me that the buyer should've made an inquiry with both Ebay and PP and that they don't see any obligation either. |

Well, since you don't know if the item was recieved or not and the refund period has passed, I wouldn't offer any refund.
