Default Gilligan Fanatic, what do you think of this Criticism by New York Times Critic

John Leonard stated in December of 1976,

"Why Has NBC just started a new sitcom for Don rickles? He is all teeth, he doesn't act, he bites......Why Don Rickles, again and again and again, as though every network had a programming vice president in charge of the vampire market?"

LOL

That's one of the things I find funny about Sharkey on this show. His facial expressions and the way he smiles or show all his teeth when he is upset.

Don Rickles did great with his face. I don't think he would be as funny without his facial expressions. I will have to send you the Don Rickles Roast, he is a riot there.

I know your not a fan of 60's shows, but Don Rickles guest stared on a lot of them. I got him on Gilligan and F-Troop and I think the Munsters, but he was also on Dick Van Dyke, Jeannie, the Lucy Show, Get Smart, Gomer Pyle, Beverly Hillbilies and a few others. Everyone I have seen he plays the same type of character.

Even in a war movie he plays a very selfish and rude and dirty character. Here he is in Kelly's Heroes. BTW Carroll O'Connor is also in it.
