Default Have you ever been betrayed by a friend?

Have you ever had a friend that you found out talked about you behind your back or screwed you over some how? It has happened to me when I was younger and it hurt like heck. The worst feeling in the world is thinking somebody likes you and then talks behind your back. Has it ever happened to any of you?

Sometimes

I can be a social reject since I'm kind of a dork and really shy, so sometimes my friends might go off and do something and forget to invite me.

I had a friend betray me BIG TIME quite a while back. I wont go into the story because its a pretty lengthy story. We didnt talk for years and just completely avoided each other until we had to sit next to each other in class one year. We're on talking terms now, friendly talking terms, but we'll never be friends again or call each other or anything.

Yea that's happened to me before on more than one occasion. When I was in school a couple of my so called friends spread a rumor of me. I think that affected me all through the rest of my school years. I've had other friends since that I thought were cool but I later found out they were talking about me too. It sucks.

Iv'e had that happen to me. My true friends I care about so much, that I would never even think of talking behind their back. My enemies on the other hand, I'll talk behind their back, to their face, to their sides, or wherever else. If you have an issue with a friend though, I think you atleast should give them the courtesy of saying it to their face. But yeah, unfortunately I have had this happen to me before, and you're right, it's a horrible feeling. It makes you wonder if they were ever really your friend to begin with.

In "real life", I haven't had experiences that were so bad. Online friendships are another story. I could write a book.

I know of one person who thought they had a good friend in an online community. Turns out that person was the biggest backstabber going. Trying to turn people against the poor person...even creating a bogus case against this person to the Administrator of the site, and anyone else who would listen.

It was one of the worst betrayals I've ever seen. Sneaky, manipulative, and downright nasty. I thought I had seen it all until I witnessed that.

It is sad that someone here at Sitcoms Online would do such a thing.

I don't think she is going to tell us. It is really sad though. I wish everyone here could simply get along.

I've gone through that more offline. In school mostly. It definitely hurts and trust goes out the window.

I agree with Sonny. Some people just don't give a damn about who they hurt.

i hurt someone here a long time ago, and even to this day it still eats away at me and hurts my heart. i wish and hope one day this person can find it in her heart to forgive me because she was my best friend here and i totally ripped her apart with what i did. i wish i had never done it.

god bless you, holly.
