Nick@Nite welcomes News Radio to its roster with a “soft launch” during the Summer of Favorites marathon. “NewsRadio" explores office politics, relationships, and crises through a group of co-workers at WNYX NewsRadio, New York's #2 newsradio station. There’s the haggled news director, sniping anchor people, an ambitious supervising producer, the station's eccentric owner and a cast of others who make each broadcast an event not to be missed. News was never so fun and entertaining! Dwayne, Whitley and even Denise Huxtable are among the different characters who converge on Hillman College to learn about life and themselves. It’s big laughs on campus at the fictional historically Black university as they struggle to make it through college while dealing with family, friends, and college-themed issues such as racism, fraternity pledging and on-campus romances. So The Jeffersons and Three's Company will air in marathons ... kinda nice.
I've heard A Different World is doing well for them, but Newsradio ... not so much.

That and Fresh Prince....Way to many marathons with Roseanne and Fresh Prince. I think there are 4 marathons of FP and 3 or 4 of Roseanne. Plus FP being aired almost nightly before the marathons start. Sick of the shows already. |

Typical Nick at Nite. I was enjoying the NewsRadio marathons. Even though I have the episodes on DVD, there's just something special about watching the episodes on Nick at Nite.
The channel has lost what little respect I had left for it. I have a horrible day at work then I come home to this news. I give up. No more Nick at Nite for me. They can't just have a high rated show, they have to shove it up all of our (bleeps). Except for "Monk," I'm gonna unplug my cable. There's nothing left for me anymore. And I might just have my sister tape "Monk" for me. I have the urge to say "the 'F' word" but I know I'll get in trouble. ![]()

It's pretty sad. Nick at Nite is to a point where they say "forget the schedule, lets just run roseanne or fresh prince for one week straight!"
as much as i like both shows, there's something called "overkill". nick at nite accomplished that months ago. i hear a different world is doing good though, so that should breathe some fresh air into it. |

this is pretty much the worst Nick@Nite schedule. Roseanne and Fresh Prince (even though i l ike FP) are getting WAAAAAY overplayed while the other shows get barely anything.
i think it's kind of odd that N@N and TV Land are exchanging shows, i dont really think TC and The Jeffersons belong on Nick@Nite now...

Me too. Those are both classics, but N@N is for "Modern Classics". Shows from the late 80s thrughout the 90s. Just like how TV Land isn't for modern classics. I LOVE Wings, but I knew it didn't belong on TV Land yet. It's too modern - it's from the 1990s. If I can say that about one of my all-time favorite sitcoms, than I can say that about any show. N@N is no longer the place for Three's Company or The Jeffersons. I've been watching a lot of Fresh Prince lately from the DVDs. And I kept thinking to myself how funny this show is and how I wished N@N didn't shove it down our throats. And again, the thing I'm upset about is not that they show it alot, because you can always turn the channel. It's because when they show it a lot, they're taking the place of another show, one you may want to watch, but can't because the 6th episode of the night for Fresh Prince or Roseanne has to air. I unplugged my cable. The only time I plug it back in, is to watch new episodes of MONK on USA. The rest of the time, I just pop in a DVD. I don't need cable anymore. I remember a time when I had N@N on every night. Whether I watched it or not, it was always on in the background. Same goes for TV Land. It was ALWAYS on. Now those are two channels I avoid. I only watched N@N recently to see "NewsRadio" on it. And now with these changes, I'm avoiding N@N all together. |

Jeffersons on N&N as well????? WHOO HOO THAT IS AWESOME.
However, N&N IS KILLING ME WITH THIS FRESH PRINCE CRAP!!!!!!! Get that damn show off the air already. I don't mind Roseanne marathons, I love Roseanne..I just hate the episodes after they win the lottery. FULL HOUSE...: ![]()
