If your talking my all time favorite player it would be Ozzie Smith the Cardinals shortstop from 1982-1996. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year, should be!! Ozzie set the standard for all defensive shortstops that has not been equaled by the likes of Arod, Jeter, or Garciapara. His number was retired in 1996 on Ozzie Smith Day. I loved watching him so much that I persuaded my family to name our dog after him. I'm not joking either!

For the present Cardinals it would be Jim Edmonds. I love watching him play and he's pretty nice to look at too!!

Thumbs up

Cal Ripken, Jr. - this may be his last season but he has been nothing but class on and off the field... a career Oriole, very rare in this day and age..

hockeychiC: You are soooooo lucky!!! Life is definitely not fair. This girl's father met Nomar's agent at a college reunion. She is like my friend so I asked her to get me Nomar's autograph and she was like "maybe". This is the same girl who couldn't play ball to save her life but just got a nice bat and batting gloves for 80 bucks! <sigh> At least I'm going to the Sox game today. (woo-hoo!) That's only after my sister found out that her friend had better seats so I actually get to go. (It's in the bleachers but hey they were free when my brother rented his tux and he couldn't use em so at least I'm there!)
Okay...I think you people have heard enough of my problems...I'll shut up...I gotta get going anyways

Ok. Scratch the whole idea of me going to the Sox game. My sister's friend's brother's tickets fell through so now I'm not even going. <sigh> Oh well. Maybe next time. <sigh>
