One month ago a virus was discovered that computer specialists thought wouldn't harm the computer. They were wrong. Tomorrow the virus will be effective. At Midnight tonight, people may lost their computers to the virus. You have to delete it NOW! Virus scanners with not find it! Be cautious. E-mail me for instructions to delete.

Well I would, but I don't know your e-mail address. Why can't you just post it here? What's the virus called?

I don't have it. I know because I'm not stupid enough to download anything from someone I don't know (I usually don't even open mail from someone I don't know). And a lot of times I don't download anything, period. Even if it's from my best friend.

P.S. If this is by any chance the "SULFNBK.EXE" virus, which I also just found out about today, it is a HOAX! Do NOT go in and delete that file they tell you to, it is SUPPOSED to be there.
If you don't believe me go here: http://www.stiller.com/sulfnbk.htm Here is what that page says, in part: >>"sulfnbk.exe" is a normal file distributed Windows with Windows 98 and ME. Finding this file on your PC does NOT indicate you have a virus as is claimed in the hoax. Please note, that any executable file can be infected and it's quite possible that this file can get infected (as can any other). If this file does not appear in the normal "Command" folder with other DOS files or if it arrives as an email attachement, beware; it could be a trojan or an infected file. (There is a trojan that is delivered via email under this file name!). If that don't convince ya, go here: http://www.vmyths.com/ OR here: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html OR here: http://vil.mcafee.com/hoax.asp Point is, almost all of these virus warnings are hoaxes. Best be on the safe side and check with the experts before you just start blowing away files on your computer. |
