Default I just got back from my plastic surgeon.....

and I could cry.....we were talking about getting me a nose job (since it has a big bump on it and is kinda cricket), but my doctor told me we can't do it for another WHOLE year because I'm not fully grown and mature yet, plus I need to raise my self esteem and how I feel on the inside about myself. And my parents said I won't be able to get it until I change my inside.
It's not fair!! I have the lowest self esteem in the world--because it's true, I AM UGLY and getting plastic sugery WILL make me feel better about myself!!
Now I have to go my first year of High School still being as ugly as hell!!
I HATE MYSELF!

no offense, but if you get plastic surgery, kids will most likely make fun of you for that too, because you base your self esteem only on how you look.

Nikki, you are way too young to have plastic surgery. I hope that you don't take offense to this, but you are just a little girl. Besides, plastic surgery is not going to help you with your self-esteem. A person who doesn't like themself isn't going to like themself no matter what they look like.

You are what? 14? OMG...when i was 14 and I am sure a lot of people felt this way, I had an issue with different parts of my body. I had an issue with a slight bump on my nose. I would try my darndest to cover it with my hand or anything. All that did was draw attention to how stupid I was appearing. It wasn't until I hit 17 that I realized the only person who had an issue with that small bump was me! Guys didn't care. They saw the overall me and that's when I realized how stupid i was for feeling so low abt myself. I remember this one guy told me how he loved my face, especially my smile. God, now if that doesn't make you forget your nose, nothing will. Not even a plastic surgeon. I used to focus on such a small thing and didn't realize all the other things abt myself. Not just physical attributes but the inside. You will see when you are older how much of a deal you made out of it.

Yeah, but I have a....deformed face, kind of. My nose isn't right, one of my cheekbones is bigger than the other, my lips are a little lopsided, and more......

I love coming here to SO because I can talk to anyone, and not be afraid of them thinking about my ugly face. Online is the only place I feel good.

i have a bump on my nose too, and once i complained to my friend about it and he said "really? i never noticed!" people probably don't even notice these problems you notice about your face.

This may sound like a cliche to you, but those who mock or make fun of you are only trying to distract from them ugly selves. Or, they are trying to look good in front of their friends, just basically going along with the crowd. Those cowards wouldn't know beauty if it was sh**tted on their head by a seagull!
If it's really an issue that you do want to tackle, then take the advice of your plastic sugeon and give it the one year waiting period. Believe me, it will go by fast. Allow that short amt of time to be the thing that makes you happy. It's not like they told you NO! NEVER! Just allow your face to physically change so that the doctor can work with it. The doctor doesn't want to work on something that will continue to change, mature, grow, etc.

Nikki, I am sooooooooooooooo sorry!!!! We're always here for you!

As for being made fun of, I know the feeling, the same happens with me (not for being ugly, but for my personality) and i's tough

As for people saying your ugly, don't dare let that get to you, it's the inside that counts, you still have a strong character, and thats good, the only people who'd tell you you're ugly, are the ones who can't admit, that they're ugly aswell.

i'm truly sorry that you are going through all of this, i can completely relate. high school is horrible. people can bull**** and say it's "inside that counts" or whatever, but in high school most kids are stupid and judge a person solely on their looks. it's what makes school misrable for me. i loathe everything about myself. it's a horrible feeling, especially when there is no one around you to lean on.

Nikki, I know how it feels to dislike your looks, but you really are way too young to have plastic surgery and I'm only saying this to help, but you should accept yourself for who you are and not who you think you should be. I'm sure you aren't ugly, anyway. I do know the feeling, though and I'm sorry that you're going through such a rough time with it.

you're way too young to do such a thing; not only because of your age, but your doctor is right, you're still growing. it would be unhealthy on many levels.

and listen to me: you're going to notice your imperfections more than anyone else will. it's the straight truth for everyone.

Look how much the media is putting Ashlee Simpson out there for supposedly getting a nose job. I don't think you want to go thru that now.

There are ways to raise your self-esteem without plastic surgery. Look around at other people's noses. Many, many people have ugly noses, uglier than yours. Maybe realizing that will help you realize that your crooked nose is actually not that bad.

Plastic surgery isn't for people you age. And it's also a very bad idea to do it for the reasons you are doing it. Besides, it's might make matters worse if you don't like the after result.
