Lightbulb HOGAN FAMILY released on video?

Hey guys!

After posting my suggestion on trying to get "The Hogan Family" released on video, I phoned up COLUMBIA HOUSE VIDEO and asked how does one go about getting a series released on video. What she said was that they put your request on a wishlist, and depending on how many people call in, that determines whether the show will be released. So hwo about it folks? Want to give it a shot?

The number to call is:

1-800-457-0866

and just say you want "The Hogan Family" to be released. And Todd, how about mentioning this part on your website? This way here we won't fall prey to the mercy of the networks who take the show off the air every few months. And we'd get the shows in their entirety, though I don't know if the original title "Valerie" will be retained for the episodes with Valerie Harper. Still, I think it's worth a shot.

C'mon folks, call them up. I'm even gonna get some friends, relatives, and co-workers to do this as well. I think combined we could convince Columbia House to do this...

Good luck!

Ed

A lot of people don't know this (and I didn't until somebody told me when I first started this site), but there were 6 episodes of Valerie released on home video by a company called "TV To Remember Video". I don't know if they are still in operation, but here is their contact information:

TV To Remember Video
P.O. Box 1421
Bayonne, NJ 07002
Phone/Fax: 201-339-4372

If anybody contacts them please let me know what you find out..

The ones they had/have available are:

"The Wrong Stuff" #3 (3/10/86) (24:15)
"One of the Boys" #4 (3/17/86) (27:40 with commercials) (24:02 without)
"Benefit of the Doubt" #10 (7/21/86) (23:56)
"One of a Kind" #17 (11/23/86) (27:57 with commercials) (24:05 without)
"Roots of All Evil" #18 (11/30/86) (27:42 with commercials)(23:56 without)
"Oedipus Wrecks" #28 (3/23/87) (27:56 with commercials) (23:57 without)

Thanks for your suggestion Ed. I would love to see The Hogan Family and other 80's sitcoms like Diff'rent Strokes, Gimme a Break, and Silver Spoons released by Columbia House. I will post the information on the main page of the site shortly.

-Todd

Cool

Hey there.. I have ordered previous series from Columbia House. I ordered the Bewitched series... I can pretty much say that the series if on Columbia would be completely unedited, however would air with only "The Hogan Family" title. I know this because whether the episode of Bewitched was color or black and white they would use the EXACT same modified opening credits for every episode they put out on tape... :-(
