CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!
I was raised on the St. Louis Cardinals. Taught to hate the Cubs from birth! My Dad when he was little (both parents raised in St. Louis area) would get rid of his Ernie Banks cards anyway he could. If I ever live in St. Louis, my parents tore me away when I was 5 months old, I will get season tickets. I think the Cardinals are one of the most well-balanced teams out there. I think the well-balanced teams are going to be the ones that do well, instead of teams that put all their money into one or two players. The offense is strong, excellent defense, and a pitching staff most teams would die for. Mark McGwire is healthy finally. Biggest question mark will be Ankiel. Hopefully he will figure out the backstop is not part of the strike zone. It's going to be a good summer!! I need to listen to Centerfield by John Fogerty right now!! Love baseball!!! |

Aaaye! Watch what you say about my cubbies!!!!
I live across the street from Wrigley field (free games on the rooftops, wooohooo!!!!), but I'm actually a Brewers fan. Miller Park looks awesome. I can't wait to get up there for a game or two this year. I'm a fair-weathered White Sox fan too. They're looking pretty promising. The biggest disappoint this year is that for the 1579th straight season (or so it seems), the Cubs still have not been able to figure out that they need some decent closing pitchers. All the power hitters in the world can't save their sorry excuse for a pitching staff. |

Since I was born and raised in Chicago, I will choose the Cubs for the 20th+ year in a row! I think they will surprise some people coily2, I can see them winning the wildcard and perhaps challenging for their division where there isn't going to be one dominant team. Tom Gordon is going to have a very good year, mark it down now and thank me in September!
I miss having WGN! I just hope the Yankees don't win it again, I don't think its good for baseball that they can just buy championship after championship. |

Hey TJ, there is a dominant team in Central Division-The Cardinals. They won 95 games last year, every starter except the third basemen is back. The pitching staff is still strong. No one in the central will be close, and it won't be the Cubs either. Cardinals all the way!!! Face it Cub fans-you all are still paying for trading Lou Brock to the Cards in 64.

Sorry TJ, but if the cubs finish any higher than dead last, I will be surprised. That, of course, is not going to stop me from sitting on my rooftop, with a beer and a brat, and root root root for the home team.
You can have my WGN. I never watch it, except for Sabrina, which is a very good laugh when you are intoxicated. I'm going to go now. |

Congrats Red Sox fans on that no-hitter by Nomo. I was watching the Braves/Mets and they switched over to the last 3 outs. Pretty cool. Now I need to check on my Cards...
