Coming from the state that bleeds blue (University of Kentucky blue), although some will argue and rightfully so red (University of Louisville), March is usually spent Thursday-Sunday in front of the tv watching the NCAA tournament praying that the Cats win so the state doesn't go into mourning. So, who does everyone think will win the Big Dance? UK is of course my first choice, but I could see Stanford finishing on top. Please, please, please no Duke!!! My teammate is a huge North Carolina fan and thats the only thing we agree on involving basketball! Go Wildcats!!!!

I'm from Boston so I'm going with BC to go all the way. My high school is in the championship for this state so we are busy cheering for anyone to win at least something.

I don't exactly remember the brackets, but I hope whoever plays Duke beats the crap out of them. Go UK! The only way I'd not support the Cats is if they were playing Louisville. (To UK Fans: Rick Pitino is the new UofL coach. Someone's in troooouble!, or rather, some team!) ------------------ Andy: C'Mon Ms. Garrett, throw us a song. Ms. G.: Born in the U.S.S.R. |

Devastation:
It's looking like a rematch of 92 and 98? between UK and Duke in the Elite 8 if both win Thursday night. I can't remember if they last hooked up in 98 or 96, but I really want to say 98. I thought Pitino wasn't making his decision until Wednesday? Guess I better get to the Lexington paper online. There will be some angry fans and I'm just glad to see UofL and UK basketball back where it should be-on top. |

1998, and to my knowledge, Pitino has already taken the Louisville offer. Looks like the 1 win to 1 win tie KY vs. Duke in the Elite Eigt will be broken. I say UK wins!

This is probably not gonna be a popular reply, but I believe Duke has the best team. However Im pulling for Michigan St. because I still have them in my pool.

You guys really are going out on a limb with your picks, not! I had Gonzaga going all the way to the final 4, although I picked Illinois to win the whole thing. Go Zags!
Goodbye Kentucky! It's a blowout baby! [This message has been edited by TJ (edited 03-22-2001).] |

They came back, but it wasn't enough. I'll spend all night crying at my tv now. I actually had Gonzaga winning their first game over UVA, but I really didn't think they would get to the Sweet Sixteen. Now I just have to root against anybody playing Duke. Michigan St., all the way!!! Last year I won $40 with my picks, this year I hope to do the same! Still, I didn't think Gonzaga would do as good as they did. I didn't have them winning 1 game!!! Out of my pics, I've gotten 28 right so far... I'm TOTALLY against Duke, probably cuz they're so good!
