Default Was There Ever A Finale (i.e Graduation) Episode?

Guys,

This landmark series withstood the test of time! Tonight is the "Burned Out" episode where a teacher sucombs to stress and becomes apathetic. Sadly, the series, (at least from what I remember from syndication) ends there. Did they ever do a graduation episode for a finale? There just seemed to be so many more great stories that could have been told about Ken Reeves and the players whos lives he changed. Why did the series end at that point? I have Season 1 and will soon have Season 2 on DVD!!!! Season 3 is coming soon.......let's hope!

This was more like a documentary than a series. You actually felt like you were a part of the lives and people who were Carver High School.

They didn't show the team graduating, but they showed the original team members winning the basketball championships. sadly though, Jackson was killed in this episode during a store robbery. It was then that the series new season began with the other guys they brought in. There was also a follow-up episode that showed where some of the other team members were up to...like Gomez, they showed him and his pregnant wife while he worked at a garage.

Thanks!

But just to clarify. "Burned Out" the one where the History teacher Mr. Mackie is forced to take a leave of absense because he was sick of teaching is the last episode of the series. What I mean is, series followers were kind of "left hanging."

Burnout is the next to last show. The one that showed what happened to the old students was the last one to be both produced and aired on CBS. So there is no "resolution" as such. The third season has some shows that are a bit sub par for this series, such as the one where they were selling Xmas trees and the one where the team lies about Reeves dying so they can raise money for a hypertension event, but the last few shows saw the series get back on track- Burnout, Psyched Out (with Christina Pickles from St Elsewhere as a teacher who was back from a mental hospital and was being driven crazy by a psychotic student) and Cops in which Thorpe is shot by a trigger happy officer. If the show had to end early at least they went out with good stories.

What's the title of the last show for the series and what was it about?

Has this last show aired by CBS ever been reshown in syndication? Do you think it will be included on the Season 3 DVD? I hope so!

Oh yea, does anyone know the reason why TWS decided to end when it did? Was this a CBS decision or a cast decision?

A Day in the Life is the last show's title and it should be on the season 3 dvd. I've seen it in syndication. CBS cancelled the show because they didn't think it got good ratings.
