I was watching "Mr. President" the other day and thought how great that cast was: George C. Scott, Madeline Kahn, Conrad Bain. And got to think how many other failed sitcoms had such stellar casts?
Another that comes to mind: "The Ellen Show" (1991), Ellen Degeneres, Chloris Leachman, Martin Mull. Any others? ![]() |

A current show that will probably be put into the "failed" category very soon would probably be "Joey."
Great cast, but things just didn't click. Two of my favorite shows that never got great audience numbers featured amazing casts. "The Job" with Denis Leary, and "SportsNight," starring Felicity Huffman.

I would totally have to say the one that sticks out in my head is Center of the Universe--John Goodman, Olympia Dukakis, Diedrich Bader, Spencer Breslin, Jean Smart, Melinda McGraw, Ed Asner.
All names I've heard of, most of them pretty big names...HORRIBLE show. Just goes to show how the writing is so important on a sitcom! |

If Crumbs doesn't last it won't be because of the cast...Fred Savage, Jane Curtin and William Devane.

I'll back up "George & Leo". I loved that show.
Also, The Tick

That's true. There were lots of funny people on that great short lived show. |

Another current show that's full of great people but is a big ol mess is "Courting Alex." The leads are all appealing, but the show is just not funny.

I liked Soul Man. It was a pretty funny show but was axed I remember hearing because it didn't fit in with the current sitcoms they were airing. It's too bad because it had potential.
