Does anyone remember The New Get Smart? I'm going back about six years ago. It starred:
Andy Dick (Newsradio) as the son of Maxwell Smart and 99. Don Adams (As Maxwell Smart, obviously.) He was the new Chief of CONTROL. Barbara Feldon (99) wasn't a regular on the series, but she did show up on occasion. I also recall that Maxwell's son had a female partner, and Smart's son was VERY attracted to her, but she didn't feel the same way about him. Anyway, I kind of looked at it as Get Smart: The Next Generation, because it was really about Maxwell's son. This show was a poor follow-up to the original. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Rob (edited 07-17-2001).] |

Ive never seen it. But i hate when they do that kind of stuff. Especially when they dont have the FIRST actors like on Gilligans Island. In the movies they didnt use Tina Louise anymore. It just makes it seem like its not happening. ok bye

I remember it,and I saw all the episodes.It was a good show-somewhat.However,much of the charm of the original series was gone and there weren't as many funny lines.Although I do remember one episode that guested Sigfried and included this exchange;
"You won't get away with this,Sigfried-because at this very moment surrounding this building are-" "Whatever you say,I'll say I don't believe you and you'll say something else and I'll say I don't believe you-" "Boy,and I thought my wife knew me inside and out." Although mildly amusing,this showed that the program was more a parody of what it was originally.Don Adams was doing this just to pay bills,recreating an old character...and hating it! ------------------ Richard Ranke |
