Just found out the Summer Variety Show from 1977 called the "Jacksons" was released on DVD. I wish I had known because I was requesting it on several boards and never knew the short-lived series was released on DVD. Hopefully one of Bill Cosby Variety Shows can be released on DVD from 1970's

Yeah they had a Variety Show in the Summer of 76 and it lasted until the summer of 1977. The only Jackson that wasn't on the Show was JERMAINE JACKSON because he seperated himself from the group in 1976 |

Jermaine was a fool then because all the big stuff like the Variety show and the cartoon series happened after he left.

Actually it was from 76-84 for that 2nd lineup. Jermaine rejoined the group when they released the Victory album in '84. When the Jacksons left Motown for Epic in '76, Jermaine stayed behind at Motown. The group changed their name from the Jackson 5 to the Jacksons and Randy replaced Jermaine in the group. Question - their variety show was released on dvd when, how, where?

Maybe the person recorded the show on vhs and transferred it to dvd with their own made up menus. If that show was ever released on dvd, I would know it because I would have it in my collection. How did you receive it, on dvd or vhs? |

Plus this show aired on CBS in 1977 and the quality is TOO GOOD for someone to have recorded this off VHS. |
