Cool Dwayne And Whitley

Would they still be married today? i wonder if their different backgrounds would catch up with them.as far as whitley goes, true love is great, but when the initial intense feelings wear off, wouldn't she miss her money and country clubs etc...?

I think they'd still be together. They would be celebrating their 10th Wedding Anniversary. They have children, (one I know for sure, because Whitley was pregnant in the show's finale). I don't think, however, that Rona and Freddy lasted, not Kim and Spencer. I'm still hoping that Dwayne and Whitley were relocated to NJ again after about a year or so in Japan.

Question

this is a very good question,
I wondered the same thing, I also wondered what would happen if denise and martin got a divorce, would dwayne divorce whitley? because he was so in love with denise.

I spelled dwayne's name wrong, sorry I had at first dewayne

I doubt that Denise and Martin would get divorced (I know that spills over into the "Cosby Show," but oh, well) because I'm sure you remember when Elvin and Sondra had their first fight on "The Cosby Show" what Clair Huxtable told him -- that marriages in their family last a long, long time. Remember that Russell and Anna Huxtable (Cliff's mom and dad) had been married about 55 years or so (the father was supposed to be 77 years old) when the show was finished.

So I doubt that Martin and Denise would ever get divorced. Besides...she loved little Olivia (who would be about 15 years old now) like her own daughter, and when Theo graduated from college, Denise called from Japan to say she herself was pregnant. (So she was pregnant even before Whitley, who wasn't pregnant until one year later.)

I don't think the difference of Background between MissThang and Pookie would have caught up with them, because it was already there and visible, she said she had silly reservations about him based on their backgroundt, he thought of her as evil snobb with no brain and no heart... plus Witley was the one with the background problem and she has had two opportunities to follow men who could have offered her the life she thought she really wanted Julian and Byron and in both cases she went back to Dwayne and Dwayne was with Kinu a less challenging girl the opposite of Witley but he could not let go of Witley... let's not forget about the woman he had a date with on the eve of his engagement dinner party, in both cases he went back to her... so i guess they are pretty tight and MissThang has learned a lot about herself, about what she wants in life... she seemed to enjoy being a teacher in an inner-city school for example which the opposite of S1 witley... in the thanksgiving episode she stand up to her mom and tells her she is actually Happy, the kind of hapiness her mom might have not enjoyed in her own marriage...

As a mother i think she will do a better job than her mom and maybe as good as a job than moma Wayne giving their children the best of both world i think...

Look at this video and tell me that u think that this couple is going to Divorce http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY1XLUVgsOY ? No way...

as far as the background, they got passed it and 80000 a year ain't poor... Beside while it was tough on her, i think Witley told her mome taht she was Happy with the man she married despite they were going through, she was not alone in those struggles unlike her mom who is now alone... She did not use those agressive termes, but that waht she kind of meant...
