Wait a minute. In the episode in which he tells Ralph to join the French Foreign Legion, he said he was "wrrrr" (wrong), not sorry.

ok, I just watched it again, and in "The New Arnold's" the Fonz definitely was a hard time saying "I was wr-wr-wr...." when he and Al make up - but he never tried to say "I'm sorry" (although I guess he did apologize, just using other words) in that episode.

I'd like to be able to put together a list of every episode where the Fonz struggles with admitting that he is wrong here - the problem is that I keep forgetting about it!

I've just been watching the eps as they air on WGN and I'll post them in here as I see them - unless someone else beats me to it!

episode # 171 - Hello, Roger

after a series of mishaps and misunderstandings puts Roger and the Fonz and odds, Marion insists that they be adults about it and apologize, insisting that the Fonz go first;

Fonzie: "Alright look, I went a little nutso, alright. So the whole thing was my fuhvv-vu-vu... and I'm really suzz-zz-zzz-zzz. alright?"

Mrs C: "Alright Roger, now its your turn"

Roger: "Same here."

i know that there WERE times when he just apologized without hesitation, but never really admitted he was wrong without that stutter, I will make note of it if I can in here as well

#174 And the Winner Is...

after the Fonz goes up to the podium and starts giving his acceptance speech for the Teacher of the Year Award - that Roger won, he says to Al, "I just went up there and made a fuh-vv-vv-vv..." (he was trying to say "made a fool of myself")
