It wasn't a remake, a new family just moved into the House that the Bunkers used to live in

I remember when that show was on, my sister watched it once and afterwards I asked her what it was like and she said "It's just "All in the Family" with a black cast, that's all".

I remember this show as well. And that was my first reaction.
that it was Archie Bunker redux.

But then if you match a lot of shows you can hear the pitch by
the producers saying "take threes company and put in bonanza
and that what this show is like" or something similar to other
shows.

TV i loved it

i have all aired eps on 2 dvd-rs
i loved it!

but by the time it aired Norman Lear was sort of out of synch with the tv viewing public and it bombed
most all of Lears 80-90s work bombed
