Wink I'm magnetic!

This is...well, strange. It seems that every time I walk in and out of my local Target, I set off those detectors at the doors that beep if you steal something. Why they have them at the IN doors is a little strange, but whatever. So, it must be something in my purse. Here are the contents:

Calculator
Cell Phone
Pad (and no, not of paper)
Wallet
Pen
Napkin
Lotion
Bottle of Purell
Lip Gloss
Eyedrops
Used Kleenex

My mom thought it was the calculator, so she put it in her purse and walked out ahead of me. Nope. She then thought maybe it was the fact that my purse has a lot of metal on it (zippers, straps, etc), but I've walked in and out of there with this purse before and that never happened. My guess is the cell phone, because, coincidentally, all this started around the time my phone number had to be changed and stuff. Which makes no sense to me, because I took that same phone in and out when it had the same number.

Maybe I have a metal plate in my head I didn't know about.

I should see if I can stick magnets to your back like Christy Masterson does to Michele in Romy & Michele's High School Reunion

So last night I went to 2 different Targets without the cell phone and I didn't set anything off.

I cannot believe that a 2 year old cell phone would all of a sudden set of metal detectors or whatever those things detect.

I think you have been in Target more times then me, Cathy. And I worked there for almost five years.

OMG that is weird. I had the same thing happen to me. We have two Targets in our county and the one that is farther from my home, it never fails, everytime I go in or out, that damn beep goes off!!!! They have had me empty my purse and still, it goes off. Maybe we ARE DISTANT MAGNETIC RELATIVES!!!!
