Default In the episode of 8 Simple Rules 'Goodbye'

In the episode of '8SR' 'Goodbye', I was surprised to see Amy Davidson('Kerry') not holding the stuffed animal(dog) (in the episode 'Goodbye')that she had in the episode' Give It Up'.In the scene of 'Goodbye', 'Kerry' & Bridget' were lying in bed when their Mother was talking to them about their Father and how much their Father had loved them.If anyone here knows the scene that I'm referring to in that episode, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Wow, good eye, I agree. But Kerry did have a lot of stuffed animals. I can't remember, was Kerry holding a stuffed animal in that scene in Goodbye?

I don't remember if she was or not. But in todays episode she was holding a stuffed dog that Paul got for her when she was 5. It was a really sweet episode. Does anybody else notice that he spends more "Father-Daughter Time" with Kerry then he does with Bridget?

Yea I noticed that. I guess Kerry goes through a lot more emotionally stuff than Bridget. It was a sweet episode at the end, I cried! It's my favortie episode so far.

I missed a few episodes. Which episode are you talking about?

This might be the same episode you're talking about. But I liked the scene where Paul and Kerry are in a restaurant. She says something about "the happy people." And Paul asks "You're not one of the happy people?" I still remember that one when I saw it in it's original broadcast.

Watching these episodes in reruns makes me miss John Ritter A LOT! Though I still liked the show in the later seasons, it was just so much better with Paul Hennessey as opposed to the Grandpa/C.J. combo.

Yea, thats the episode. And I agree, it's hard watching the reruns. For awhile I thought I was ok with his death, but it sorta knocked me down the first time I saw him on tv again.

I agree. As much as I LOVE seeing this show (for the first time), it makes me miss him a lot

I will have to agree with everyone. I love watching the show. It is one of my favorite shows. When I watch the John episodes I get really emotional and I start to cry. I miss him so much that it hurts.

Hey, atleast we don't feel bad about it. I thought I was okay with his death too, but when I saw the episode where Bridget got her license and he said "Off you go" I started crying! And the other day I told my dad that I wanted him to take me home before went somewhere so I could watch 8 Simple Rules and he said "That's all you talk about is John Ritter, Three's Company, and 8 Simple Rules" (I think he meant it jokingly, but it made me mad)

Yea I know what you mean. My mom doesnt understand why I'm such a huge fan of his. She thinks I want him as a parent cause my dad isnt much of a dad anymore and my mom and I have been getting into a lot of fights. It'd be cool if John was my parent, but that's not what I want. I love him to death and he's taught me so much, more than my own parents, but I can't change my family or the fact that he's not here anymore. She acts like she likes him and 8SR, she even said today when the show came on that's "it's happy hour" but she when she lies, her voice goes up LOL. I wish that she could just give him a chance and stop judging my every thought and feeling. I'm changing and trying to find myself and she's right there telling me how I feel and she doesnt even know me. I dont even know who I am. I just dont get her. And know, cause I'm also a huge fan of Ellen DeGeneres, she thinks I want Ellen as my mom and John as my dad. That'd be awesome, but that's not how I feel.

OMG that is exactly how my mom is! Freaky...see, she wants me to be what she was like when she was a kid and I'm old enough to do what I want I think and she doesn't seem to understand. I try to go to my Dad and reminds me so much of Paul off 8SR but he doesn't understand why I like John so much.

Parents can be very frustrating sometimes. They don't understand that we just want to find out who we are, and yes, that includes looking up to people to role model after. John is an awesome role model-- I say they should be thrilled we love him

Aww, both of you are so awesome! yea my mom wants my role model to be her and she would be, but almost every word out of her mouth is about her, and how she feels, and how she wants things to be. When I had to write a bio for school, she said I should do it on her. I did it on John instead! But she's always saying to me that I need to say sorry when I mess up cause she never hears me say sorry (yea whateva!!), yet I have never ever once in my life heard her say sorry for anything she has done. And having John as a role model just isn't something she is comfortable with and I dont know why. To me, it doesn't matter who you learn important lessons from, as long as those lessons help you through life and help you find who you are. And she doesnt get that. Oh well, coming here is like home, so it's all good!
