I don't think he was funny. But I thought it was funny when the others made fun of him.

Yeah, his character was funny because of the fat jokes. I liked Bookman's actions, like posing as Willona's husband. But he was as corny as Keith when he tried to do voice impersonations.

Bookman's impersonations at the Rent Party weren't bad. I don't think he was really meant to be a funny character. I always thought he was supposed to be a "bad guy" type who gaves the Evans family trouble. I think later he became more of a friendly character, but initially he was not.

Bookman was funny in small doses.

But Bookman was funny compared to Keith. NOTHING Keith said/did made me laugh.

As much as I love GT (and I have ALLLL the seasons on DVD) I have to ask you, was there ANYone on the show aside from JJ that was funny? Even Ned the Wino wasn't much of a scream. Booger was just a good foil for fat jokes. He was the jerk we weren't supposed to like.
By the way, I'm watching these shows in consecutive order and I'm in the fourth season. I just saw the episode of James Sr.'s funeral. I haven't seen this episode since it first aired when I was a kid and wow, I remember almost every detail. Maybe I didn't see that many episodes as a kid because this episode and the one where the old woman was eating dog food are the only ones I remember.iiiiii |
