not feeling well when watching it? In the past 2 nights I been having stomach pains and discomfort and was watching Roseanne and I could not get my mind off of how I was feeling at all. But then i turn to married with children and bam, I begin to laugh and forget how bad I was feeling. Can anyone watch a show that makes them feel better if they are not feeling that well?

If I'm really feeling sick or down in the dumps, then no tv show is going to make me feel better.

It's funny that you bring this up, because I was going to bring it up on the Roseanne board. Roseanne, and All In The Family are two shows that almost always make me feel better when I'm sick or depressed. It's like, I look at the Bunker's and Connor's as my family, and they comfort me whenever I'm down.

It's all psychological and psycho-sematic, actually. It varies from person to person and what kind of pain is associated physiologically. Our brains and physical pain have to corelate and either feel further pain or feel comforted.

If I'm really sick nothing can make me feel better. I've had the flu and I tried to watch the NFL and I just didn't care. Not even the Cowboys could cheer me up.

I'd say, if it makes you that sick, don't watch it.

I didn't say the show was making me sick because I watch it all the time when I'm feeling well. I just said it wasn't helping me forget how bad I was feeling like Married With Children did when I turned that on. |
