Default Wasn't JJ the only one to stand up to James?

Thelma did once or twice, but JJ was the one who made James' blood boil. Let's see:

1. He took up for Thelma w/ Larry.

2. Him and Diana wanted to get married and "he wasn't backing down".

3. He wanted to join the service and told James so.

Come to think of it, Michael never did. I guess he was the youngest, so he better open his mouth. How about how he wanted James not to ground him: "Oooh, I'm just jiving daddy".

On the one ep. where Michael was getting mugged for his lunch money and the same dude who was mugging him for his lunch money also becmae his friend, who stayed over for the weekend.

But I forgot what that dude's name was, but he too tried to stand up to James and got his ass whipped!

James: "This weekend you're part of my extended family and as part of my extended family, I have the right to take my belt and whip your behind!"

J.J.: (after he sees dude getting whipped by James and dude tries to sit down and his butt starts hurting) "Well, it looked like he got the BIG MAC after all!"

Michael: "Yeah, with Dad making your buns warm!"

The one that stood out in my mind was when J.J. took up for Thelma. He did not backed down and James was ready to kill him. If Florida did not step in it would had been on. I watched that and I said you go J.J.

Unfortunately, the time JJ SHOULD HAVE STOOD UP TO SOMEONE was when Keith slapped Thelma. I would have loved for JJ to grab Keith by the shoulders and push him up against the wall and yelled at him or something. I swear, that was a great opportunity for JJ to be shown in a moment that we have never seen him. We always see him as a dufus, dork, funny, etc. But, it would have done his character alot of good to show him stand up to Keith.

Yeah I agree, you won;t find too many brothers who would watch a man slap their sister and not do anything. That just wouldn;t happen in real life-lol
